Purgatori hadn’t totally been truthful with Viper when she had wondered what had happened to Jessica. The young woman who was from another universe who was actually Viper’s daughter. As far as anyone knew the girl just disappeared one day never to be seen again. In truth Purgatori used her magic to hide her from everyone. That was one of the favors the young woman asked for the other one took a lot longer to do. Jessica wanted to look different she was tired of everyone mistaking her for the woman who had lived on this world that was a hero. Purgatori had granted this request at the cost of Jessica becoming one of the gods from her pantheon she agreed and so the blood goddess went to work crafting a new appearance for Jessica.
It took days and was no easy task nor was it painless but when it was finished they both were pleased with the results. Jessica stayed true to her word and became a great goddess of the storms and mother to a number of children. Who the father of these children where was anyone’s guess she had made sure no one knew and no one dared asked. A few people however tried to ask Purgatori but she had no answer to give because she didn’t care enough to want to know let alone tell anyone else.
The blood goddess made her way to Baal’s home in Heliopolis having been called there. “Finally decided to show yourself?” Purgatori asked standing behind Baal rather close. “I think it’s time don’t you?” she replied as she gazed out the window aware how close the other woman was but not caring. “You know Midori will most likely make fun of you.” this got a laugh out of Baal “Oh I hoping she does.” a devilish smile spread across her lips one that promised much pain and torment. “Alright.” Purgatori sent a light elemental messenger to both Viper and Midori inviting them to Heliopolis for an important event. The two of them moved to the throne room waiting to see who'd show up.

Admittedly, the last person Midori ever expected to contact her was Purgatori. It wasn't that she didn't trust the woman, but…. that was a lie. She didn't trust her one bit. Oh, certainly the woman was a fantastic ally whenever she was needed to be one, but that was on a rare occasion. More often than not, Circe preferred calling upon the Asgardians for aid. Purgatori and her Egyptian faction was considered to be more of a last ditch, heavy-hitter effort, which was saying a lot. Amora may possess the power of Thor, but at least she didn't go around ripping people apart without thinking about it. Purgatori tended to be the shoot first, ask questions later type.
Still… Midori was curious as to why she wanted to see both her and Viper. One of the possibilities that briefly crossed her mind was that the blood goddess was going to get all romantic and, shock of all shocks, get down on one knee in front of Viper. The thought of that actually made Midori snort out a laugh as she could see neither proposing to the other. Either way, this visit would likely be interesting. Trading her simple chiton for a more elegant Greek dress, and kissing her husband and their three children goodbye, the messenger goddess took off for Heliopolis.
The city was bright and hot, with a rather impressive and massive golden bridge acting as an entry point. Midori did not see Viper, nor did she truly want to be seen entering the city along side her. They got along well enough, but to be truthful, Midori hated looking at the woman who wore the younger face of her mother. It unnerved her how this Viper was the same looking, but her own mother had aged. Add the decade that its been and the stress she's likely gone through of losing her only daughter… but then again, James was gone too, so perhaps her mother thought she had gone out in a blaze of glory, taking Captain America with her. It was a proper end for a HYDRA agent.
Upon reaching the throne room, Midori noted the other goddess in the room. Leaning on the arm rest of Purgatori's throne was a red skinned woman with horns and a tail. This was an unexpected addition as Purgatori's note made no mention of other guests besides Midori and Viper. Something about her appearance kept prodding the back of Midori's mind, as if she should know her, but there was no immediate recollection. Not saying a word, the goddess simply offered a greeting to them both and waited for Viper to appear.

Unlike her daughter from another universe, Viper had no suspicions about this meeting with Purgatori. The woman had her methods and techniques of getting things done. Often she would not reveal her intentions until the very last moment, which would sometimes irk Viper, but never truly anger her. She knew she had nothing outright to fear from the red woman, mainly because Purgatori had no reason to fear or distrust her.
Rather than garb herself in greek robes, a habit she only did for the most formal occasions or audiences with Circe, Viper donned her usual HYDRA uniform with the addition of her aegis, currently in a gauntlet form similar to Strucker's Satan Claw. That was the one reason she stayed with the Greeks. The aegis was a powerful weapon, able to bring many people to their knees if Viper chose to do so. As of yet she had no reason to. Even Logan had been behaving.
Having been to Heliopolis once or twice before, Viper decided to take the direct route to the throne room, rather than golden bridge, meaning she arrived shortly after Midori did. Nodding at her would-be daughter, the goddess of wisdom took in the unexpected guest at Purgatori's side. After a moment of scrutinizing her, Viper's eyebrow rose slightly. The features were overall drastically different now, but there were a few details that could not be changed, particularly the woman's expression upon seeing Viper and how she held herself while standing there. Of course, the goddess could be wrong, but wisdom rarely is. Rather than being rude, she decided it would be best for Purgatori to broach the subject. "You wished to speak with us, Purgatori?"

Baal watched the two women show up they didn’t look that friendly towards one another even after all these years. They might not kill one another but they wouldn’t have lunch together. But Viper on the other hand might have figured out what was going on by the way she was looking at the storm goddess. Purgatori watched the three women for awhile before speaking up. “It’s so nice to have the family all together.” she got up walked down the steps to the others with Baal following behind her.
“I’m not really the one who wanted you here….I suppose you could say she’s my daughter did recreate her but she’s more related to the two of you.” Purgatori explained to the two women before her “I bet you were hoping I was dead in the ground and rotting. Didn’t you Midori?” She hadn’t forgotten Midori hated her for something she had nothing to do with. “Besides this was the only way to get you off your back and out to do something other Captain Tightpants. Maybe find a way to actually make you useful then pushing out children every few years.” Even though she didn’t want anyone finding her didn’t mean she hadn’t kept tabs on the two for her own reasons.

Family all together? After Purgatori said that, the recognition clicked into place for Midori. She simply started shaking her head at this revelation. What did Purgatori, or even Jessica, hope to gain from this? Did she except Midori to gasp in shock and surprise and yell out 'that's not true! It can't be her!' Because that certainly wasn't going to happen. "I would like to respectfully disagree, Purgatori. Jessica Drew, or whatever last name she took, might share some genetic makeup with me, but I doubt she would want to have any family relation with me. As for thinking you were dead and buried, that is far from the truth, Jessica," Midori told the woman. She may have different appearance, but as far as Midori knew, she still had the same name.
"You simply left after we made it to Asgard. I don't even think I recall you sitting at the welcome feast for very long. I was not hoping or praying that you would be dead. From what I gathered during our first meeting, you seemed the lone wolf and independent type. I had figured that you had set off on your own, finding perhaps a group to lead and carve out a little place to call your own. I'm glad you're alive."
However, she was not expecting to hear Jessica use her little nickname for James. Sighing internally, Midori made a mental note to sweep her home for any sort of listening devices, both magical and mundane. "What I do with my husband is none of your business. We both wanted to start over. No superheroes or villains. Just James and Midori. And if you think I'm only there for sex, you're wrong. I deliver important messages from Circe and the other gods. I've also helped with the redevelopment of Earth and its people. So feel free to take the title of Madame HYDRA. It's yours. Have fun with it."

"You set all this up for a family reunion?" Viper wasn't normally one to play games, particularly if she wasn't the one in charge. She didn't always like surprises either and this was a rather large and unexpected one. Letting Midori talk to Jessica, Viper turned her attention to Purgatori. There were a few questions that she wanted answered. "How long have you had her? Since she came to Asgard?" Viper was simply curious, since she herself had met Purgatori weeks after their arrival. The goddess wracked her brain, trying to remember if she had seen Jessie in amongst the Egyptian pantheon.
"I'm also assuming that she knows about us being together?" It wasn't exactly a secret, but Viper didn't quite flaunt their relationship. Not that she really gave a damn who knew about it, but for some reason, Viper had a feeling that this might put a damper on things, particularly with how she saw Jessica leaning on Purgatori's throne. Perhaps it was a bit of paranoia, or maybe Purgatori's own possessiveness was rubbing off on her, but the goddess was suddenly feeling protective of her red woman.
Observing Jessie's appearance now rather than scrutinizing it, Viper couldn't help but be impressed. "You changed her? I don't recall Egyptian gods looking like her. Did you bite her?" It was a simple question as Purgatori had said she was somewhat like a daughter to her now. The process was making Viper rather curious.

“My name is Baal.” In most cases Baal means lord or owner but in this case with the egyptians it meant god of storms. At one point the most powerful of gods but of course that changed when Purgatori took the throne. “She actually lived on Asgard for the few months before you all became gods. Something had happened to her and she couldn’t stay there. We crossed paths soon after she left I took her in when I saw she had useful skills.” Purgatori watched Viper for a moment before speaking again “You wouldn’t have seen here with us in the early day’s she was unable to….get around much due to her….problem.”
Baal thought back to that night “Of course you didn’t see me there much I was getting to know your husband that night.” At that point in time James and Midori weren’t married in fact he was still technically single and really drunk. “Don’t worry Viper we’re close but not that close. You're the only one I want.” she pulled Viper close to her. As far as she still knew Baal was still straight and didn’t show interest in Purgatori in that way.
Oh this was going to be fun “Did you ever wonder where James went when he decides to take off? and leave you at home with the kids. He comes here to me and his children.” she wasn’t going to go into anymore details just left it there in the air that James wasn’t as faithful as Midori had first thought he was. “No I didn’t bite her I don’t do that. I did however turn her into a demon. She no longer wanted to look as she did wanted a new start and new face.”

"Baal? Well, when you decide to change yourself, you certainly go all the way out, don't you?" Midori asked, finally and appropriately taking in the sight of the new Jessica. She was most definitely taller than she had previously been, even without the heels she had on. With a tail, horns, red skin with black tattoos, and glowing yellow eyes, she most certainly not the woman Midori knew.
The messenger goddess's face remained neutral and blank when Baal revealed her whereabouts. Remembering back to that feast, Midori had spent the entire duration of the meal with James, but he did wander off to find a place to sleep, so it was possible that she was telling the truth. Midori had just never figured him for the type to fall for Jessica drew. Then again, the Drew that they both knew was an older woman, and Baal, while being younger, also had impressive assets. Even before being a sex god, James had the tendency of being led around by his dick. "Well, I certainly hope you two had fun. That's one night for you against my…" Midori paused to think of how many many nights she had been with James. "Well, it's certainly enough times that I've lost count. Really, Baal? Are we going to be this childish? Poking at each other, saying you slept with my husband?"
Having a drunk one night stand was one thing, but when the demon mentioned children and the few times James had taken off over the years, that caused Midori to pause. "Children? You and him?" It was at this point that Midori had to remember her training and regulate her breathing so as not to give away the anger forming inside. Whether that statement was a truth or a lie, she would refuse to learn the truth from Baal. Instead she would ask James when she returned home. Accidents happen and it was quite possible that it was a one time event. James was a good man and he would not want kids that he had fathered to grow up without a dad. Even with this reasoning, Midori found it a difficult task to remain indifferent. "Congratulations on having children, Baal. I hope they're healthy," she managed to say but didn't quite make eye contact with the woman.

"Useful skills? Her pheromones and assassin abilities, I presume?" HYDRA training wasn't exceptional or unique in the world, but from what she knew about this Jessica, she had a few interesting traits, as did all spider women. "Problem?" Viper arched an eyebrow at that word. She wasn't stupid, and the way Purgatori worded her sentence left little to the imagination as to what happened. But when she heard Baal and Midori discussing James, Viper's eyes widen in surprise before sparkling with great interest. "She had a child with the Rogers boy?" No, that alone wasn't a big deal. Viper already had three 'grandchildren' by James and Midori, but to have even one with the genetics of James and Jessica, along with being raised or tutored in Purgatori's shadow? That was a grandchild Viper dearly wanted to meet.
"Apologies for my suspicions. You know I've had few lovers and I tend to get rather attached to the ones I want to stay with. Paranoia must be getting to me in my old age." She smiled and gave Purgatori a brief and chaste kiss. She wouldn't do much more since the equivalent to two daughters were in the room and it might cause them to be sick if they saw their would be mother making out with a blood goddess.
"A demon?" That intrigued Viper. As far as she knew, Purgatori was a vampire and a goddess. The fact that she could turn others into demons was news to her. "I'm curious to learn about the process. I assume it is both a difficult and painful process?" From what Catholic studies she had as a child, Viper recalled that souls needed to be tortured and go through much pain before becoming demons. She wondered if that was actually true.

“I never go half way when I do something.” Baal replied as she watched the woman actually look her over this time to see how much she had changed. “Yes rare skills the pheromones being the most rare in this case.” It wasn’t hard to train a child to become an assassin but one who had power over pheromones? That was a great thing to have.
Oh the look on Midori’s face…priceless she wished she had a camera right now. Midori was trying her best to keep herself under control with her breathing training. “Even better she had twins with him and one other not with him.” Purgatori clapped twice twin ten year old boys suddenly appeared down on one knee with their heads bowed waiting for orders. Purgatori noticed only two of the three had shown up “They picked up fighting and magic rather fast. As you can see they changed their appearance to suit their tastes.” one had dark blue black wings black hair with blonde highlights wearing a dark red shendyt. His brother had all black wings black hair the faded into red wearing a dark red shendyt. Even though they were children they looked like they had been training for years.
“Donavin, Darnath come here.” The two boys made their way over to their mother “I like you to meet Midori Harada your father’s wife.” the two boys didn’t say a word but looked the woman over she didn’t look like much. Before Baal could introduce the twins to their grandmother she felt the air shift. Sand began to gather around spinning like a sand tornado it started out small but grew in size before forming into a redheaded woman with glowing eyes. “Ran into a problem.” the redhead explained as to why she was late getting there. “And this is Kerrigan. James isn’t her father if that’s what you're wondering.” even though Kerrigan looked like she was in her 20’s she was actually two years younger than the twins. “The woman in green over there is your grandmother Viper.”
“No need to be paranoid.” Purgatori said before watching how Viper would react to the two boys and being called grandmother. Yes Midori had done it with her children but this was different Baal’s children were little assassins and warriors. “You have to go to hell to turn someone into a demon. In hell desire is power if you desire it enough you can gain anything.” It sounded simple but it really wasn't.

"So I see," Midori answered. God, she should have left that woman in the HYDRA cell so very long ago. Yes, she would have still gotten out, but perhaps it would have meant that Jessie would have been delayed long enough that the Asgardian portals would have shut before she could reach them. A foolish thought though. Midori remembered how easily the woman broke out. She would have tagged along with her and Viper anyway.
Midori studied the young boys, cocking her head a little as she pieced together their timeline. The one night stand was when they first arrived to Asgard. Jessica was not at the trial of Ultron due to her condition and they had only just received their godly powers then. James had flown off, but the wings the boys had had to be magical additions, not present at birth. Midori's first born son, Kenuichio, had been born with a pair of wings to call his own; black feathers, dappled with silver and gold.
She had to admit, they were handsome, and Midori could see James in their features, but the difference in how they looked at Midori and Viper, the goddess could tell Baal had been telling stories. "They take after their father quite a bit, Baal. I'm happy that you have a family and are no longer alone." Her words were truthful. Midori would have hoped that children would have centered Baal, but clearly they had done no such thing. Instead they seemed to deepen her resolve and animosity towards Midori. That was something the goddess didn't want as she feared for her children. Yes, James could likely get them to behave, as he was their father, but Donavin and Darnath clearly held no respect for Midori.
Kerrigan's appearance was rather unexpected, but certainly not entirely a shock. Midori had figured Baal would have something hiding up her sleeve; a full grown woman, appearing out of nowhere and who was her daughter seemed just the sort of last minute jab she'd pull. "For some reason, I did not think that she was one of James', but she certainly has your beauty and grace, Baal." If she was expecting any other reaction beside compliments, Baal would be sorely disappointed. After all, not only was Midori currently outnumbered here, but she was also a guest in Purgatori's home.

"And just how many battles have you won or minds you have changed thanks to her pheromones?" Viper asked. She was certain that the numbers would be rather high or at least a bit impressive. Purgatori didn't seem the type to waste such a gift, but then again everything seemed quiet and at ease between the godly pantheons. She had made no moves to take over other planes.
Perhaps she would deny it later, but Viper couldn't help but smile at the sight of the two young boys. They were handsome young men who carried themselves proudly even at such a young age. From just this initial meeting she could tell that Baal had raised them properly. She was about to speak and correct what the demoness had said when Kerrigan spun into existence. Viper knew that personality all too well, even just from hearing those four little words. Kerrigan likely took after her mother. Cocky, smart, and quick in action, the family resemblance seemed to be quite clear.
"If I am their grandmother, Baal. It is only right that you have them call Midori their aunt. The genetics and the circumstances are the same, after all," Viper told the young woman. All three of them were from different universes, so her statement was truthful. She was curious to see her reaction. As for her own self being given the title of grandmother, it was nothing new. She was already called that by Midori's children, so it was not some shock to the system. Besides, she was defying the system by being a rather young looking grandmother. "Kerrigan has given a demonstration, but I would love to see what the boys can do."
Upon hearing Purgatori's procedure for becoming a demon, Viper laughed. "If you desire power enough in hell, you become a demon. If it were that simple, my darling Red Queen, I would have been one by the age of ten." She had told Purgatori some of her childhood, so the goddess should have known just what Viper had gone through. "It is never so simple as that. Desire and power make for poor wishes. You have to sacrifice, endure pain and strife, struggling through it all physically, mentally, and emotionally. Don't think I don't know for an instance what it's like to become a demon on earth. Because I do, and so do the girls who survived training with me. So becoming an actual demon in hell must be similar but far more excruciating."

“What’s with the look? Their preteenage boy’s and Viper’s wearing skin tight clothing. It shouldn’t be hard to figure out why they don’t think much of you over her.” Baal explained even though she wasn’t thrilled that they would think of Viper in such a way it was bound to happen. She also knew they did the same with Purgatori but they feared her enough not to dwell too much on it at least when she’s around. “Enough to keep me in power without anyone to challenge me.” When Ra died there were a number of other gods that wanted to take his place she didn’t want them all dead. So she used Baal’s pheromones to deal with them for the time being at least. She had plans to use it to gain more power she just had to be careful then no one would be the wiser.
Midori was over thinking everything again she did that way too much. Baal looked away from Midori to Viper “Last I knew Midori didn’t want to even remotely think of me as her sister. With that thought do you really think she would want to be an aunt to my children?” She asked she really wasn’t holding her breath on that happening. As far as she knew Midori still hated her for things she had never done nor had knowledge of. “I’m the evil woman who abused her mother expect I’ve never met her mother let alone touched her. Yet I get the glares and the ‘I’m the better daughter’ looks from Midori.”
“You were not in hell by the age of ten.” Purgatori replied as she lead them to the training room “Here they make for poor wishes in hell things work much differently. It’s not a walk in the park I admit because other demons either want what you want or they want you dead. So you do have to fight for it just like anyone else. Willpower helps and not caring about anyone but yourself so nothing will hold you back.” she explained “It’s not as painful as you might think. I knew a young woman who changed into one of the most powerful demons in hell without realizing she was changing.” she thought back on the woman oh how she hated Hope.

"The look what not in regards to that, though I think you should teach them the concept of incest. I can see that they seem to appreciate her more than me and it makes me wonder what they have been told." To tell the truth, Midori would expect nothing less. Though they were different, Midori and Baal both loved their own respective mothers and when her children asked about Grandmother Ophelia, Midori was truthful in every aspect, but painted a beautiful picture of the third grandmother they had never met. She even paid those respects to Viper, since she would visit on occasion and James seemed to get along with her well enough. Midori had just been the confused one who was slow to warm up to her. That was why she was surprised to hear Viper defend her and ask that she be called aunt.
"That was a knee-jerk reaction. I was naturally suspicious. It couldn't be helped. How would you react if a woman who you knew and saw, when you were young, try to hurt and kill your mother, and then appeared years later in front of a woman you thought to be your mother, who was currently looking worse for wear. You would think the same would apply to almost every version, no matter the universe. I protect my mother because I love her. That's why I protected her and told you, I believe it was, to get the hell out of the base. For that I am sorry. I wish I had known you instead of the other Jessica in my universe." This was a lot for the woman to admit, but if it smoothed things over with Baal and kept her family safe, she was not above telling things she wouldn't normally say.

An idea briefly fluttered through Viper's head as she watched the boys eyeing her assets through her clothing, but these weren't young HYDRA agents in training. No, they were her family, as odd and as twisted as the tree may be, so she had to behave around them. For the most part at least.
"Who would be foolish enough to challenge you?" Purgatori was one of the big three in the godly realm. Her, Circe, and Aldrif. Four if you counted Angelus, but she was some sort of wildcard. Even though Purgatori had answered Viper, the woman felt like there was a portion left unanswered. She was not about to ask for it here, too many ears to hear and lips to speak, but the goddess of wisdom was most definitely curious about any future plans that Purgatori had.
"And how did we first meet, Baal? I seem to recall me trying to put more than a few bullets in your brain, thinking you were a robot. Plus, whether either of you knew it or not, you were both trying to impress me, even if it was subconsciously. You by showing that you were strong enough to retain the title of Madame HYDRA, and Midori by trying to protect who she thought was her mother. Sibling rivalry happens, and I would now like it to end," Viper told the two of them, matter-of-factly. Being the goddess of wisdom didn't mean that she was smarter than everyone else, but it did mean she saw things easier and clearer than most people.
"Again, it's like HYDRA training. We were taught, at first, to work together. Then as the weeks progressed, we ferreted out the weak among us and refused to let them hold us back. By any means necessary. Back then classes started rather large, but the number of graduates could easily be counted on a single hand. If you were lucky and smart enough, you transferred out before the training got tough." Some did, especially those in Viper's group. As for those who remained? Viper ended up being the only graduate in that class.
Viper looked at Purgatori, a question clear on her face. "You know me. How would I fare? What would I become?" she asked, her voice quiet since she didn't want anyone else to hear it.
