“They know what incest is. They just don’t understand how a woman who looks like she couldn’t fight her way out of a paper bag could come from grandmother Ophelia.” Kerrigan said to Midori it seemed Purgatori taught them more than what Baal was aware of she wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or not. “You’d be surprised how many people would challenge me.” And that’s why so many people ended up dead by her hands.
“Well no wonder why she left without saying a word to either of you. I would too if the only people in this universe I knew had tried to kill me. And acted like they would do so again.” Purgatori said after the two women finished talking. Baal didn’t say anything instead she shifted back into her human form the demon just sort of melted away. Unlike Midori and Viper she hadn’t been a goddess as long as they had and so aged like a normal person until she did become one. The strange thing was she looked a lot more like Viper then she had when she was younger. “She could pass off as your twin if she had green hair.” one thing she didn’t understand was why Baal wanted to still be able to change between her human and demon form if she didn’t want to be mistaken for the dead hero. Although she did have an idea as to why.
“If that’s the case then how did he end up apart of HYDRA?” Kerrigan asked when Bob came around the corner stopping dead in his tracks like a deer in the headlights. “Hi Jes-” He stopped when he laid eyes on Viper causing him to scream turn around and run for his life. Only he didn’t get far because he ran face first into an open door. No one made a move to see if he was alright or to help him up.
“Depends on how bad you want to be one and if you want to be a full demon or half and what type.” Purgatori said keeping her voice low like Viper. The woman had her reasons for not saying it outloud and she wasn’t going to ruin it. As they pasted by a massive set of doors the sound of something big was pounding on the doors. "Did you forget to feed him?" Purgatori asked looking at the door "I fed him he just wants out." Purgatori looked at Viper "Would you like to see what your oldest daughter created?"

If Midori's glare could have caused Kerrigan to physically burst into flames, it would have. She had no right to call Viper 'Grandmother Ophelia', and, if judging by the look on Viper's face, she agreed as well. "Kerrigan, the woman you call 'Grandmother Ophelia' does not exist anymore, at least not in my personality. I have not given you permission to call me by that name and if you could refrain from doing so until I decide what I do want to be called, I would sincerely appreciate it." Even with Midori's children, Viper was simply 'grandmother'. The green haired woman gave Purgatori a look. She seemed the most likely candidate for teaching the children her birth name, since even Baal and Midori, if they knew it, they should also know that those two people and names were separated by time and events.
Viper frowned at what Purgatori had said. She most certainly wouldn't have tried to kill Baal a second time, not after learning the truth about her. Glancing back at the woman, she watched her shift into a human appearance, eyes widening slightly as it became oddly similar to looking in a mirror. Oh, Viper was quite familiar with women looking like her. Hell, the Pit Vipers she once employed were nothing but dopplegangers, rather convincing ones at that. But to see Baal look like her, it was quite unexpected. For a moment Viper was speechless, unsure how to react to the news that, at least in one universe, she wasn't crazy and that Jessica Drew really was her daughter. "She really does look like me…" she said softly.
Midori watched the reaction quietly, intrigued and astonished. For some reason she had never imagined that they would look so alike. The Jessica she knew had different features, plus she clearly had a different life than Baal. Midori and her mother looked enough alike to tell they were mother and daughter, but this resemblance? Were she younger and more brash, she would have claimed Baal had used a device or magic to look that much like Viper.
The moment of awe was soon broken by Bob's girlish scream. Viper whipped her head around in time to see the agent knock himself out. "What the hell is he doing here? How is he even alive?!" Last time Viper had seen him, Bob was running for his life to the docks of Madripoor, thinking a boat could be his salvation from Ultron. Midori looked a bit disgusted at the man as she stepped over him, following the group towards the training room. The Bob in her world hadn't last long in the ranks of HYDRA. Whether he was killed or simply thrown out, she wasn't sure, but she vaguely recalled an agent like him when she was young.
Viper raised an eyebrow at whatever it was that was pounding on the door. This day was just full of more and more surprises. "All right, let's see what you have created, Baal."

“Do try and control yourselves around her she’s a child of violence and disorder it comes off her like smoke and the last thing we need is for you two to get caught up in it.” Purgatori explained placing a hand on Midori to keep her from even doing anything stupid. She might be the speed goddess but sand gets into everything and Kerrigan had total control over it Midori would be dead before she could do anything to. Purgatori didn’t think anything could happen but little things could spark it.
“Kind of makes me wonder what she got from her father.” Purgatori said after watching the two women look at each other. Because of right now with the two side by side she couldn’t see a trace of anyone else other than Viper in Baal. The more she thought about it the more she wondered about something but decided not to say anything the last thing she needed to make Baal upset. It’d probably rain for days or worse didn’t need that.
“He use to hang around Deadpool and survived guess that odd luck kept him alive.” Baal said as she bent over and slapped him until he woke up. “I had found him thought he’d make a great chew toy for my dogs. Baal had a better idea and used him for training.” Baal lead them to a small side door leading them inside. Hearing the door open the beast stopped and turned around “Be gentle he’s just a baby.” she said moving closer to the beast “Y-Y-Yeah a ten foot tall baby!” Bob said nearly yelling. “What can I say a girl needs a hobby and knitting makes me feel old.”

"Child of violence and disorder? That could refer to any one of us in this room, Purgatori," Midori told the woman. "But if you were wondering, I was not about to start anything with her. I'm just not used to other people using that name for my mother." Any time she had heard her mother or her father say that name, it had always seemed special. Midori's father would whisper it, as if keeping it secret. He would hold her mother close and she would smile and laugh, a completely different woman in private than she was in public. The name Ophelia almost had a devout undertone to it, like it was sacred, and to Midori, perhaps it was, since not many people in her universe knew it was Viper's real name.
She made no comment about how and why Baal looked like Viper when she was human. Perhaps the Viper on that world had done some sort of genetic experimentation in order to get pregnant or something. Midori knew how much of a fascination Viper had with science, so anything was possible. And, if she wanted to be honest, Midori found a few flaws in Baal's appearance, so they were quite twins as Purgatori had said.
The beast was quite a sight to see. Hulking and muscle bound, with glowing eyes and an odd shaped head. Intimidating to say the least, but Midori wasn't exactly sure of it's purpose. "You created that as a hobby? How large will it get and what do it do exactly?" she asked, intrigued by the specimen.

"From what I remember of the man, nothing physical, that is for certain. But then again, he could have been different on her world," Viper reasoned, but she gave a description of the Johnathan Drew that she knew and worked with. Tall with a lanky build, he wasn't a physically imposing man. It was his mind that posed the threat. Brilliant and wickedly cunning, the man was capable of many things and able to make it seem all an accident from the start. Hell, Viper had read over his notes regarding the experiment and she still couldn't figure out if it had all started out as an accident.
"I've always wanted to know what I would look like if I hadn't been injured as a child," she commented. It wasn't much of a change and though Baal was beautiful, Viper would never give up her scar, even despite having the powers to do so.
She scowled at Bob as he woke up. Of all the people to survive, why the hell did it have to be him? It just made no sense. Perhaps he was a mutant, although one to stupid to realize it, and blind, dumb luck was his power. Shaking her head, Viper continued on through the door, hoping to get a good look at Baal's pet. She almost repeated what Midori had said, regarding the woman's choice in hobbies. She also noticed that there seemed general interest coming from Midori. So it seemed that giant monsters created from scratch might be a common interest for her and Baal. Who knew? "How did you create it?"

“That is how you grew up and was taught. Her father is the god of violence and disorder that’s a huge difference. And I’m pretty damn sure you don’t have the same father.” Purgatori told her though she doubted Midori knew who that was. Not many knew the Egyptian gods very well which was a useful thing at times. “It’s bound to happen people know Viper’s real name.” Can’t get mad over something that also belongs to a woman in this universe as well as two other’s.
“He wasn’t any different in my universe although he ignored me for the most part. Spent all my time with my mother or outside until I got sick from the uranium around our home. That’s when he put me in the genetic accelerator and my mother left him after that. Stayed in that thing for sixty some odd years until I woke up and crossed paths with Otto Vermis.” Baal explained what of her past she either remembered herself or was told by her own mother.
“This was an accident that happened before I was born. My mother was hit by a beam while pregnant it infused me with her DNA. No one realized it until I was older.” Nothing could have been done about it so she just had to live with it until she decided to go demon again. “That’s why there isn’t any sign of my father within me.”

“Good question. One I don’t have an answer to.” She said to Midori before answering Viper’s question “Looking through Purgatori’s scrolls they had a how to but no one was ever able to figure out the last needed part I managed to figure it out.” Baal explained “Purgatori let me try it out and this is what I came up with.” While they talked a series of unfortunate events involving Bob and a creature from another realm that was suppose to be for study ended up in the mouth of a hungry monster baby.
Before anyone could do anything all that work Baal had put into the monster went right out the window. After eating the monster had turned into a big black ball of goo leaving Baal in total shock over what had happened. “All that work…” as she turned to face Bob a storm formed over head first time for one to be made inside a building. Bob took off running for his life as Baal was about to fry him but had a better idea. Instead of a lightning bolt she took out a knife and threw it at his back hitting him in the spine he went down unable to feel his legs. Walking over to him “You killed my monster now you're going to become the new one.” she brought her heeled boot down on his neck breaking it. She didn’t need him alive but his body still needed to be warm “Take him to the lab and get him ready.” she ordered to the nearby guards.
Purgatori had made her way over to the blob placing her hand on it and felt something strange. “It’s alive.” she said but no one could hear her over the thunder so she said it again “It’s alive!” She yelled as flash of thunder and lightning over head as the monster ripped free of the cocoon. He was a lot bigger now and looked to be leaner too.

Years before, Midori would have thought the description of Kerrigan's father to be a brag, but knowing what she did now, she knew it was the truth, or close enough to it. "No, we do not have the same father. Mine is mortal, though and honorable man." She knew better than to comment on anyone else's parents. "People used to not know it. But you're right, people know her real name, just as I am sure people know yours. I doubt your mother gave you the name of Purgatori."
Viper listened to Baal's origin, nodding at the parts she recognized from her world's Jessica. "You seem to share a bit with the one I knew. Not everything, but just enough." The gene splicing and DNA infusion made sense as to why she looked so much like Viper.
The green haired woman shook her head as Baal continued to be as she always was towards Midori who frowned as her repeated diplomatic efforts were shot down. What would she have to do to get on Baal's good side? "You're letting my would-be daughter perform dangerous experiments that may not work in order to see if they make monsters?" Viper asked Purgatori, not quite happy but also not quite surprised by this. The red woman often had an odd view on how disposable people were.
That view seemed to have rubbed off on Baal. Both women watched as she killed Bob, and both felt rather indifferent as he died. The man had been a poor HYDRA agent. He wasn't worthy to exist in the organization. At the very most, Viper wondered how he had survived Purgatori's wrath for so long. "You honestly think that he's worth becoming one of your creations?" Midori asked, not quite understanding why the hell Baal would use the worthless man's corpse for anything other than worm food.
"In the name of God, now I know what it feels like to be God," Viper said, finishing the famous Frankenstein quote that Purgatori had inadvertently begun. She looked up at the now taller creature, taking a step back and wondering what its capabilities were.

“Everyone who knows that name is either dead or flay you for bothering them.” No they didn’t do it because they worked for Purgatori but because Midori had bothered them with such a stupid question. “My mother gave birth to me that’s all she did my so called birth name was assigned to me. Purgatori was given to me by Lucifer yes the ruler of hell named me before we were suppose to be married.” She was only marrying him for power and have her needs fulfilled by his harem.
“It gave her something to do and kept her happy which meant she wouldn’t flood Egypt out of boredom. Plus it was made sure she wouldn’t get hurt. Besides isn’t that what science trying crazy things to see what would work?” Purgatori explained “You try saying no to her and see how well that works.” You tell Baal no and she’ll go and do it anyways.
“Just because he was useless in this life doesn’t mean he will be in his next.” Baal told Midori before looking back at the others and the goo ball that hatched into a much bigger monster “A lot of people were brought back to life after the earth was rebooted.” She raised a hand the beast “Behold Wolfgang von Strucker!” She said just as the beast raised it’s head and blew a flame of fire into the air. “In a more useful state if you ask me.” She said before leaving the room heading down the hall to the lab.
Bob’s body was laid out on a table inside a massive containment unit that was open. Seeing that he was already Baal got things started by bringing up the program a number of robotic arms with syringes with a strange glowing blue liquid inside with a push of a button the needles injected the liquid into Bob’s body. As the arms pulled back the doors began to close and lock. Hitting a few more buttons began the process. “Doing this the old way would take far too long so I combined the dark arts with technology to speed it up. And it doesn’t hurt to have unlimited supply of power.” She said as she opened a hatch to show that the cosmic cube was powering the whole thing.

"I'm sure you had a hand in killing those who are dead," Midori said. When she had discovered that Viper had a new bedmate, Midori had inquired a little bit about her, mainly because she was also an ally to Circe and the other gods. Knowledge was indeed power, and though Circe had never used her as a spy against the other gods, Midori did gather information on occasion. So she did know a bit about Purgatori's tendencies. She was very much like Viper in that regard. Neither suffered people to live long after betrayal occurred. "Supposed to be married? Did he back out at the last moment or did something else happen?" she asked, intrigued to learn that she had been betrothed to him.
"Yes, that is the purpose of science and experimentation, but the purpose of having lackeys is so the important people are not harmed when said experiment either blows up or decides to eat all the people in the room." Clearly Viper had experience with both such occurrences. But Purgatori did have a point. Saying no to Jessica, whether the person was a parent, team member, or enemy always resulted in the same thing; she did what she liked and often hit the opposing person with a venom blast to the face. Or, when her powers weren't working, she would simply punch them.
Both Midori and Viper stopped what they were doing and thinking when Baal told them who the first monster was. Strucker? And not only was he huge but he could breathe fire? Viper, not surprisingly, backed away from the creature now that she knew this and quickly followed Baal into the lab. "Does he still retain his memories from his past life? I would hope not since I do believe he would blame all three f us for his death." Strucker had a tendency to 'clean house' if things weren't making him happy. Yes, Viper was a god now, but still, that thing back there? For all she knew, it could kill a god.
Midori and Viper both watched the procedure begin on Bob's corpse, keeping quiet all the while. But they retained their silence for an entirely different reason when Baal revealed the cosmic cube as her power source. "It… you retrieved it from the Red skull's lair?" Viper finally managed to ask. How else could she have come into possession of such a thing? Surely the Angelus wouldn't have just given her such a powerful object. It had to have been there when the world was remade.
The green haired goddess looked back at Purgatori. "Why haven't you used this for any other purpose? You could remake the world in your image." Midori, meanwhile, was having a very bad feeling about all of this. Perhaps, she thought, she had overstayed her welcome and should leave.

“I had to get Lucifer’s attention somehow and shaking my ass wouldn’t cut it. So killing everyone in the city in his name got him to notice me and drag me into hell.” Purgatori explained she had known Midori spied on her from time to time she found it most amusing. Midori knew what Purgatori wanted her to know nothing more than that. She hadn’t lived as long as she had by being careless if she had she would have been dead a long time ago. “At that time I was a newly turned vampire and craved power. And I lacked patience to wait until we were married to take his power instead I fed off him. He ripped me free found me amusing named me Purgatori as he threw me into the Nexus of all things.”
“I have lackey’s in spades and the important ones can either take care of themselves or are no where near here most times. And he doesn’t really eat them he does smash them.” she had never seen Strucker eat anyone smash them, rip them in two and set them on fire yes but never actually ate anyone. “That would make creating these things pointless if they remembered their past lives. His mind was destroyed and his soul belongs to your girlfriend.” What Purgatori did with them she had no idea the woman wasn’t going to tell her or anyone else as far as she knew.
“I told you I knew where it was and how to get to it. And how to use it without fucking it all up.” she closed the hatch back up. “Don’t get any bright ideas.” she said more to Midori then to Viper. “All in due time my love. I’m not going head first into an all out war. You do it when no one expects anything it leaves them little chance to fight back.” She said just as Baal flipped a switch filling the containment unit with energy before she turned it off.
A short time passed before the doors opened to show them what had happened to Bob. The creature that stepped out stood at least 12 feet tall a rocky armor covered it’s body. He curled up into a ball and rolled around and over a few people who weren’t fast enough to get out of the way. “Rolling death. I like it."

Well, Purgatori was right in that regard. If Lucifer paid attention to every little ass-shaking done for him, a whole lot of people would be dragged down into hell. But killing the entire population of a city in his name? Unless it was a huge city, a famous one, or it was a long enough time ago for Purgatori's little genocide to actually make a dent in the population, Midori doubted that was all she did. Perhaps condemning the souls or destroying not only its people, but the buildings, desecrating any holy sites, and salting the earth as well. That most certainly would get the attention of any god. But then again, it could have been a slow day and Lucifer was bored. As she finished her story, Midori came to the conclusion that it was a little bit of all those things. Purgatori simply wanted power and she would do whatever it took to get it.
"I have no need for such a device. Besides, if I took it, actually managing to get past the traps you have laid over it, its container, and the hatch that opens to it, I doubt I'd get two steps before either you, Purgatori, or your children make it possible for you to have a third corpse for a monster," Midori told Baal. The amount of protection covering the little blue cube was ridiculous, but then again, if you had someone like Bob running around, she understood the need for protection quite well.
"The process isn't exactly the fastest thing, is it? Even with your technological improvements." Midori also wondered if the entire process could fail if one or more of the steps were interrupted, or perhaps if a foreign flaw could be introduced to the body. After all, it seemed to be a freshly dead body for the transformation to take hold. She wasn't thinking this for sabotage purposes, but rather trying to figure out any weak points that could be…. she stopped and shook her head. No, she was no longer a part of this. That was the old Midori. Now she was perfectly happy with her role as a messenger god and wife.

Viper set her mouth hard, not at all amused by Baal's apparent lackadaisical response. How many times had she thought she same thing? It took her a while, but eventually Viper did learn from her mistakes. That was why she broke off so many time from HYDRA in order to do her own planning. The fewer people involved meant the less likely it would all blow up in Viper's face. Either way, she would drop the argument, letting Baal think that she won. Students sometimes learned best through their own failures. "You're collecting souls now? Or have you always done such a thing?" she asked her, curious as to why she would do such a thing.
"The Tesseract itself leaves little chance for anyone to fight back. It can work at the speed of thought, Purgatori." Viper was furious, though she managed to contain some of her rage. Here they were with one of the most powerful object in the universe and what were they doing with it? Using it as a glorified battery for a monster machine. "The longer you wait, the more likely it is you will be found out. You know that neither Circe nor Aldrif trust you. Not completely." Sometimes she didn't understand how slow immortal beings could be. Yes there were times that playing the long game was best, but then again there were also times that you had to strike while the proverbial iron was hot.
When the transformation was done and what had been Bob stepped out of the machine, both Midori and Viper stood there just waiting to see what it would do. Viper half expected the damn thing to open its mouth and have the man's whiny voice come out, complaining and crying about how he didn't want to be a monster. Instead he just rolled around, crushing a few people. "His intelligence level seems to be the same, as I recall Bob doing a lot of curling up into a ball and being useless in general."

Baal stared at Midori not so much as looking like she wanted to kill her as she was plotting something. “You know Midori I might do something nice for you or you’ll totally hate me. I’m not sure which but call it a peace offering.” She said before reopening the hatch reaching in she picked up the cosmic cube pulling it out. She close as she tapped into it’s powers there was a flash of light and two people appeared. “Well you know if I was going to let you have yours I wanted mine as well.” she told her looking away from the two Viper’s to Midori “Why don’t you tell your mommy HI!! Guess what I can do and who’ve I’ve been doing it with.”
“What in the seven hells are you doing?” Purgatori said having stopped her debate with Viper only to see there were two other ones one much older than the others. She looked between the two then to the one next to her. “Well this is…something.” she walked over to the others. Purgatori wasn’t sure what to make of this or if it at all could be of use to her in some way. Or just two more people to annoy her over what she was doing.
“I remember saying I wanted to grow up to be like you when I was older. I didn’t realize it’d be so...literal.” she hopped her own mother wouldn’t freak out over her looking so much like herself or had actually forgot about her. "These are your grandchildren. Donavin, Darnath and Kerrigan." She hadn't told who the father's were she wasn't totally sure how her mother would react to all of this.

"A peace offering?" That came completely out of nowhere and for some reason it was the last thing Midori would have expected from Baal. And the particular way she phrased it 'nice for you or you'll totally hate me' made her just the slightest bit wary. It was a feeling that intensified when Midori saw her retrieve the cube from its housing. No one stopped Baal from activating the cube and the next thing the goddess knew, she was blinking away spots of lights and starring at two more Vipers, one of which she never thought she'd see again.
"Mother?" she asked, disbelief in her voice. The older of the two new people turned her head at the sound of Midori's voice. This couldn't be an illusion, not with how Baal was going on or by the shocked tone in Purgatori's voice. Yes, the woman was older then what she remembered, but that was to be expected since ten years had passed. Dark hair was now lightly peppered with silver and a few more lines creased her face, but Midori knew somehow that it was her mother.
The distance between them was quickly covered, and to say that Ophelia Harada was a bit surprised to be hugged by a daughter she thought was dead was an understatement. Why she was dressed in a grecian inspired dress, she didn't even ask, they just held each other tight for a long time. The only indication of Ophelia being emotional were her occasional sudden deep breaths and her swallowing hard. Midori wasn't so stand-offish as her eyes glistened with tears.
"I thought you were dead," he mother spoke softly. Midori just shook her head. "It's a long story. I'll explain it all later," she sniffled. "Even the fact that this room has two other Vipers, one incredibly convincing look-a-like with a cosmic cube, and an assortment of, what I can only call, inhuman people?" That was typical of Ophelia or any Viper, really. Taking in the details of a room after moments of entering was what kept her alive after all these years. "Yes, even all that. I promise."
