It was good that the thing was destroyed. But that did not mean the overall trouble was over. Angelus had said that someone else was using their powers to summon these creatures. Why could they not have at least a century or two of boring peace where nothing would happen? Just a little breather and time for relaxation. "I have the hammer for a decade and did many impressive things with it, Sif. But you're forgetting that even those who only just began to wield the power of Thor have done impressive feats. The hammer is an easy teacher if you know how to handle it." The smirk she gave Sif was filled with double meaning, proving how well she could handle both Mjolnir and Thor's hammer. "We will get you whole and restored and then we shall set a sparring time. Agreed?"
Amora gently hugged Sif when her smile faltered and she realised what had happened. "This was not your actions," she whispered softly. "We have all fallen to one form or another of control. Do not think yourself any less. Hogun is assuredly in Valhalla, though if we need his return, Aldrif and I will reason with Hel and broker a deal." OF course she wasn't sure how easy that would be, but it was always worth a try.
The thunder goddess listened to the smaller blonde babble and say things that made no sense whatsoever. "Thor did wield Mjolnir once but he is dead. I now bear Mjolnir and his power." Amora even showed Idunn her hammer before looking at Angelus. "Perhaps we should take her to the All-Mother. Let Aldrif figure out the problem or restore this woman's memory."

"You think that I do not know the Thunderer?" Idunn laughed. "I am friends with him and his wife. His hair has always been fiery, his beard as well. Never once have I seen it touched by any other color. And how dare you lessen his name by saying he does not love his wife. They are inseparable. The last I saw Sif, she was happily with child." She hoped that the baby had not come yet for Idunn had promised to be there for the delivery.
Upon receiving the names and introductions of them all, Idunn looked disbelieving upon the dark haired one. "Lies and falsehoods. Sif may have, in the past, defended her home and hearth from invaders, but she is no shieldmaiden. Nor does she have hair black as pitch. The Liar sheared her hair once while she slept, but under threat of pain and death, he replaced it all with hair of spun gold. It glitters brighter than anything on Asgard." That last part might have been an exaggeration, but Idunn had always loved Sif's golden tresses and would often braid it into elaborate designs when they were together.
"Angelus?" She spat upon that hand and slapped it away as she stood up. "Lying trollop. Mother of baby killers. I will not go with you anywhere. I should have recognized you at the first. Not happy with your winged dogs killing an infant, you must have me as well?" Had the angels dared to steal her away from the frost giants? Did they intend a second attack on Asgard and needed her out of the way in order to weaken Odin and his warriors?
Upon hearing the name Aldrif, Idunn's head shot up. She was more confused now than ever. The child was dead. None of this made any sense. "Yes, I demand to see the All-Father. Take me to him and perhaps he will find the compassion not to rip your wings from your body." She was important to Asgard, being the only one who could pick the Apples of Youth, so naturally they would have to have ransom agreements made with Odin.

“You're going to use your powers huh? Maybe I’ll get the ember stone and give you a run for your money I’ve gotten really good at using it.” Wonder how tough she’ll talk then having to deal with a fire god that actually knows what she’s doing now “Wow it’s been ten years and you're still talking about being with him. That’s…that’s just sad. You need to move on this isn’t healthy.” which actually kind of gave her an idea about doing something later on.
Angelus heard what Amora suggested “Good idea.” She grabbed Idunn and tossed her to Sif who caught her. “Your so lucky I’m in a good mood or we would be having words.” She said to Idunn before using her powers to teleport them to the throne room of Asgard. The first thing they saw was the lifeless body of Thiazi and Aldrif sitting on top of him like it was the most normal thing in the world. “Behold Aldrif Odindottir the All-Mother of Asgard and a body…” Aldrif got up from where she was walked over to the group of women. “Aldrif this is…some short woman. I have no idea who she is but I think she’s from a past Asgard everything she’s told us sounds like what the human’s know about you guys.” Angelus explained to the redhead who was busy looking over the woman wondering if she should trust her or not “I think she knew you when you were a baby because she believes you're dead.”
“If that’s true then why doesn’t the stories tell about Amora?” Sif asked wondering how that could be true if Amora wasn’t apart of those stories. “She was just not as Amora. I believe after every cycle of Ragnarök roles and names changed could be a small change or a big one. In one your a blue eyed blonde married to a redheaded Thor in another you're a dark haired warrior sometimes lover of a blonde Thor.” She then pointed to Aldrif “She was trapped in the tenth realm with the angels so she was never a part of the cycle again which is why none of you knew about her until now.” Sif thought about this “That would explain why the stories about us are so...confusing.”

"I always use my powers, but let us not include your Ember stone in this. Being in that dragon form melted quite a bit of Jotunheim. Do not think I forgot about that. A normal dragon is one thing to fight, but yours is not normal." Amora knew better than to fight her in that form. "We will keep it to a simple non-powers sparring." As for the goddess still being stuck on Thor? "I have moved on, Sif. I've moved on and found another person to be with. I'm sure that comes as a surprise, but it's true." And no, she would not tell Sif who her new love was.
The last thing Amora expected to see in Asgard's throne room was a dead frost giant. Even though the All-Mother could defend herself with ease and Amora had been away on a mission, she still felt ashamed for not being there to protect her home. "How did this happen? No Jotunn could get inside this easily. Was it Loki? Has he returned?" Part of her was eager for Aldrif to say yes. She wanted to show the Lie-Smith who was now the superior when it came to power and magic, just for old times' sake.
Dani had an interesting point, to say that this woman was from the past, but she was more curious about Sif's question. There was no mention of Amora in any of the stories, and the only tale regarding an enchantress was about a witch who caused trouble and rivalry among the Aesir. In the end she was impaled on a spear and burned. The goddess shivered upon recalling that stanza in the sagas. "If you are so certain of me being someone else long ago, then who am I? Everyone is accounted for, Dani." A very small part was hoping and praying that she was not the burnt witch.

"Am I too big for you to kill? Too much trouble?" Idunn asked as she was tossed into the arms of the dark-haired Sif. Her voice left her once they were in the throne room, and for many reasons. The architecture was reminiscent of Asgard, but there were obvious changes; the materials used were wrong and everything was on a much larger scale. Then there was the dead Jotunn and the woman sitting on top of him. Idunn knew that body all too well. "Thiazi?" she whispered, shocked that such a warrior had been killed so easily.
Idunn stepped back in fear as the tall redheaded woman studied her. She looked familiar, as if Idunn had seen her face or a similar one before, but she wasn't sure from where. Her fear was broken when the Angelus called her short. Yes, she was smaller than most Asgardian women, but at the same time, she was taller than most Midgardian women. "I am not some short woman. I am Idunn, the ever-young. I tend the trees from which the Apples of Youth grow. I also tended to the first born child of the All-Father and his queen."
She looked up at Aldrif, trying to appear defiant and strong, but she doubted it worked. So instead, she started to sing. It was an old song, a simple and soft tune that was both haunting and enchanting as it was about a woman dreaming about a man she would marry. But more importantly, it was the lullaby that she sang when the infant Aldrif was feeling fussy and refused to sleep. Idunn ignored the Angelus as she talked about past lives, history, and stories. All that matter was if and how this familiar looking red haired woman reacted to the song. If she gave any indication that perhaps she knew the song that maybe these women were telling some truths. But she still did not believe that the sullen dark haired woman was her friend Sif.

“Party pooper.” Sif said when Amora told her she didn’t want to fight her dragon self. But instead wanted to go without powers. “Fine we’ll do it without powers. But I get to pick the weapons. We should be on a level playing field after all.” This’ll be good to see if Amora could put her money where her mouth was. “You and Kaileena finally hooked up. I’m so happy for you.” No Kaileena hadn’t told Sif but her nose did can’t hide it from a wolf.
“I don’t know one moment I was working and the next here he was looking down at me. Said I could be a suitable replacement. He tried to grab me and...well you can see the outcome.” Aldrif wasn’t going to be a replacement for anyone for any reason. And she wasn’t about to be manhandled by a Jotun or anyone for that matter.
Angelus thought about Amora’s question matching everyone up with the stories in her head by the time she was done Idunn finished her song. “Behold your past life.” She said holding her hands up and out to show that Idunn was Amora’s past life. “You and Sif were bff’s in a past life how does that blow your mind?” Sif looked between the two blondes “Does explain where Amora got her obsession for green and gold.” Angelus was also looking at both of them “And her snark.” she added in. “Expect her chest size seemed to have shrank between lives.” Sif stated “No she just traded her boobs in for height.” Sif nodded in agreement.
Aldrif was lost in thought trying to figure out where she had heard that song before. But she knew it had been a long time ago as old as she was it was hard for her to really pin point where she had heard it. “I’ve heard that song before I just...I can’t remember where.”

"I am not a party pooper. We'll see how this match goes and then continue from there," Amora explained. She wasn't about to start off with an uneven match between herself and a dragon, especially not one with Sif's personality. "Agreed. You can choose the weapons. It's only fair." She should have seen it coming. Amora should have known about Sif still retaining her enhanced sense of smell even in her human form. And yet, she stood there, momentarily dumbfounded by that little statement before finally being able to speak. "What do you mean finally? We had only met briefly before the Apocalypse happened and you all disappeared for ten years. Unless... did she talk about me during that time?" Now she was curious to hear the truth of the matter, though she doubted the answer would be yes.
The thunder goddess looked back and forth between Dani and Idunn, not quite believing the woman's words. "You jest. She can not be me. We are nothing alike." Even as she said that, the words faltered a little. As Idunn sang, she found herself following the song. Even though most of the words she guessed were wrong, the theme remained the same despite never having heard that particular tune before. It was an odd sense of deja vu. There were other similarities as well. The designs on Idunn dress were simpler versions of the decorative pattern Amora would often wear on her own clothing. Once more the goddess shivered, looking at the woman who could be a past self.
"It does not 'blow my mind', Dani. We could have been friends when we were younger, but Sif preferred being with the boys. So did I, but that was in an entirely different manner." As for the size comparison, Amora fumed. "My chest is still beloved by all, so do not think it is bad thing that I grew in height in trade for a slightly smaller pair of breasts." At least she wouldn't have back problems like Idunn would. "And how does it suit you to know that you were once 'happily with child' as you played wife with Thor, Sif?" Amora smirked at that, rather happy to hear that the stories from Midgard were not wrong when it came to the shieldmaiden.

"He wanted a replacement for losing me," Idunn answered mostly to herself as she looked at Thiazi. "Jotuns do not like to lose what they have won in conquest." Even if he had taken the woman claiming to be Aldrif, he would likely not have been satisfied until Idunn had returned to his possession as well. "Burn the body. I do not wish to look upon it anymore," she said softly, eyes tearing up at the memory of what he had done to her.
Her song finished, Idunn heard the women talking and looked back in there direction. The tall blonde who held Mjolnir was her? They looked nothing alike. She, though beautiful, seemed to be on the way to being a shieldmaiden for Asgard. Yes, she held herself in a manner that was both strong and lady-like, but Idunn did not know how to fight. If she had, the angels certainly wouldn't have taken Aldrif under her watch. The height comment, however, made the little goddess set her mouth in anger. "My height is fine as it is," she told them in a tone rather similar to one Amora had used in the past. "As for my chest, do not speak ill of it. Many men love it as... it... is?" The fact that both she and Amora had answered in similar fashion disturbed the goddess of youth. "Having a chest my size is not a bad thing," she stated, trying to recover before turning back to Aldrif.
Examining her once more, Idunn found similarities between Aldrif, Freyja, and Odin. Take away the headgear and red on her face and it would have been easier to tell from the beginning. Hoping she was correct in her assumptions, Idunn produced an apple from the folds of her dress. She smiled at that, being happy over that small bit of magic returning to her. It was small, but perfect in its apple shape with a skin golden as the sun. Expertly, she ran her nail along the middle and, with a sharp twist, broke it in half. Almost immediately, the smell of an apple orchard filled the throne room. "Does the scent, along with the song help your memory?" she asked, holding a piece up to Aldrif. She had been so young when taken, but it was worth a try.

“Yes well I never gave him the chance to finish talking. I don’t like uninvited guests showing up even less when they are Jotun.” Aldrif explained not really caring what he wanted or why he wasn’t happy with what suddenly appeared before him at that moment.
“You want to say that again when you aren’t pretending to be Thor?” Dani said to her had she been wearing what she normally did it’d be easier to compare the two. “Which one of us suddenly showed up and decided to steal Thor away from the other? When that didn’t work you tricked me into stealing Karnilla’s magic mirror to use on Thor so he would fall in love with you forever. And when that failed you ran off with Loki. So don’t blame me for not wanting to be friends with you.” Had Amora not done any of that they could have been friends like they were in their past lives. “Instead of being friends you teased me for years over losing my blonde hair and started calling me black sheep.”
Angelus looked at Idunn “If you hadn’t noticed your future self was kind of a jerk to Sif but she’s getting past that…I think.” she told her it was a lot different than it had been in Idunn’s time. “No one is saying your height or chest size is a bad thing other then you must have some wicked back pain from those.” Sif gave Amora a look when brought up her playing pregnant wife to Thor “About as thrilled as you would as a crispy snack for a dragon.” That was Sif’s way of telling her to drop it or else.
Someone appeared near Aldrif she began to strip off some of her gear her headdress and what little armor she wore. It needed to be cleaned of the blood that had gotten on it she took the wet towel and began cleaning the blood off her as well. While she was cleaning her face off Dani spoke up again “Baby Aldrif was stabbed in the heart during the war and there’s the permanent proof.” She pointed to the stitched over Aldrif’s heart that now can be seen with the blood wiped away. The redhead stopped what she was doing to look at the apple half “A little it was 2.6 million years ago when I was born.” It took a lot to remember that far back.

Sighing, Amora tapped Mjolnir on the floor, reverting it back into a necklace and turning her clothes back to normal. "Is it easier to compare us now? No armor, no hint of battle?" She supposed that this girl could be her, at least a very young her. But they were drastically different from one another. Idunn was sweet where Amora was not, and though she had, as the mortals would say, spunk, the enchantress also had a feeling that the goddess of youth would easily crumple under the slightest bit of pressure.
"Children can be cruel, particularly since I was one of them. You may have one free shoot at our sparring match. No hammer, no armor, just as I am and you can do as you like with me for one hit. I know it doesn't make up for everything, but will you accept it?" Amore wasn't fully certain why she wiggled back and forth between liking Sif and teasing her. She had improved things slightly, but it was as if she wasn't sure that the other goddess would fully accept and believe that she would ever want a friend, so she constantly denied herself the final move.
At the dragon comment, Amora nodded and conceded to the warrior goddess' request. "Understood. But just so you know, I think I like you better this way," she commented before turning to Aldrif. "I will see to the disposal of the body, All-Mother." Amora started to leave, but halted mid-turn, remembering why she originally came to the throne room. "In regards to the recent tragedy that has fallen, I request that the Lady Sif suffers no blame for her actions. She was not in control of her mind and faculties, being under the possession of a dark and malevolent force. I swear upon my power that I tell the truth and Angelus can verify my claim as she was the one who exorcized the creature from her body. If that does not satisfy the grieving parties and more wishes to be done, I am more than willing to offer up myself for services and broker with Hela for the return of Hogun." With that said, the enchantress excused herself to find a way to dispose of the Jotunn remains.

Idunn quietly watched the goddesses interact, feeling like an undeveloped outsider amongst an advanced culture. She knew her place, being used to quietly serving among the chief of the gods and only offering a comment when asked. Odin's wife had been less strict in this sense, as was Odin when not at court, but still, it was the polite thing to do. But she was noticing a few similarities between herself and Amora. "She is not a jerk to Sif, as you say. She is merely an outsider. She is not sure how to act. But Sif as well is abrupt and fast tongue with her language. She is also more," Idunn paused to think of the word while answering Angelus. "She can be prickly, if that makes sense. Roses often live in brambles and flowers can hide wasp nests. As for my back, no I have never been pained. The apples are wonderful in that regard. I eat one daily and it does me well. In fact my basket..." Worry filled her eyes as she remembered her basket which contained the apples was still back then when she came from. It would always be full, but she wondered if that was due to her presence. "Is my being here the cause of the changes? Has my kidnapping begun the end of the world cycle back then? If the Aesir can not stay young then they will die." She did not want to be responsible for the end of her people.
Idunn's attention was drawn to Aldrif's scar, and her worry filled mind made her almost tear up again at the sight of it. She gently reached out and touched it, forgetting that this was not the baby she knew, but was the new All-Mother and that touching her without permission was possibly a bad thing. Upon touching it, the tears once again flowed and she pulled the taller woman into a hug. "Oh, my little Aldrif.... thank you for surviving. Thank you," she sniffled. The news of how long ago the attack happened was a shock though. "2.6 million years?" She could not contemplate a time that long. It seemed almost impossible for Asgard to exist for that length of time. Yes, they always talked about living for as long as the stars, but 2.6 million years? That was incredible.

“I’m not going to do that. We were both pretty fucked up as children you were cruel and I was a crybaby over losing my blonde hair. I should have been happy I still had hair and not ended up being as bald as a newborn.” Sif would admit she had been very annoyingly dremagic at that age over not being a blonde. She was surprised anyone could stand her at that age let alone Thor.
“If anyone is to blame for this mess it’s me. I should have been able to kill the Darkness creature when I had the chance instead it got away and took Sif as it’s host.” Dani explained to Aldrif not happy she had allow such a thing to happen in the first place. “I’ll deal with the other’s but Sif should rest she nearly died.” Aldrif listened to both women while looking at Sif “Take her to one of the spare rooms to rest in.” she ordered one of the nearby guards. The man knew better to say or do anything knowing Aldrif was a scary woman when angered so he did as he was told without question.
“Sif is as much an outsider as Amora is. She just hides it better.” Dani explained to Idunn before Sif spoke up being leaving “Those Who Sit Above In Shadow are the ones behind every cycle of Ragnarök. They had decided when we were to die each time we did it fed them. Thor found out and killed them at the end of the last cycle. There will never be another Ragnarök.” She then left with the guard Dani decided it was time for her to go and deal with things leaving Idunn and Aldrif alone.
Aldrif raised an eyebrow which probably looked strange because she didn’t have any when Idunn touched the scar. She hugged Idunn back “It’d take more than a knife to the heart to kill me.” She nodded when the small blonde realized how long ago it had been for her. “Much has changed since then both here and in the other realms.”

Idunn watched the women as they made excuses and apologies towards Aldrif, practically groveling and fearful of any repercussions. At this, the goddess was a bit confused. Yes, she wore armor but then again so did made women of Asgard if it was their role. Even Freyja on occasion had girded herself for battle. But this was something more. The attendant who cleaned the armor had the quiet air of a servant fearful of their master which didn't particularly make Idunn feel at home and comfortable. Then there was the matter of Sif. She looked so pained and tired, from something more than nearly dying. Once she as alone with Aldrif, only then did she speak up. "The All-Father is dead then? That is why you rule? What of Freyja?" She had many more questions, but rather than let them all spill out at once, Idunn held them in and chose them carefully.
"You can not send me back to my proper home, can you? Otherwise I think there would be plans in the making. Just so. If I do return and let it be known that you live, it would start another war between the realms and Odin only just sealed them off not too long ago. It would bring more Strife and conflict and more warriors would be lost, along with more children." Idunn looked up at Aldrif, trying to figure out what to say in order to set her at ease. "Your mother wept tears of gold upon your death. For being as strong as she is, Freyja has a most tender heart. We consoled each other, spending days together in her chambers. She would not see Odin for the longest time. Even now I think their marriage will never be as it was." Idunn stopped herself. It was poor manners to speak ill of others love lives.
The goddess felt out of sorts, unsure as to what she would do. She was used to some order in her life and now she was torn between two things; her best friend who was no longer the same person was alone and needed company, and the only babe she had ever known was a woman grown and seemed to need no help with anything. "If the orchards still exist, I could tend them if it pleased you. I bake, cook, and sing. I will even clean for you or act as a house maid and care for your children when you have them. I wish to be use to you, Aldrif." Her eyes then drifted to the door Sif left through. "I also wish to tend to my friend, Sif. She was a friend at one point, at least. She is different now, but if healing is what she needs, I can help with that. The apples cure many pains. I know she wished rest, but I do not want her to suffer alone. Have I your permission to visit her?"

“Odin paid for his crimes and I took what was my birthright. That is why I rule. She’s around someplace.” Aldrif didn’t know what her mother was doing they didn’t talk much. If she needed anything from her mother it was usually Amora who went to Freyja about it. They seemed to be on better terms than Aldrif was with her mother.
“There are many universes and times. Trying to find the right time and place where you came from would be very hard to do. I don’t even know if you're truly from my past or another universe one where I might have either died from being stabbed or thrown into the incinerator as the queen had ordered when she thought I was dead.” Aldrif explained as to why she couldn’t send Idunn back to her home and time. “Would explain why Odin had bedded other women to father my siblings in this age.”
“The orchards still exist you can tend to them if you wish as well as whatever else you want to do.” Aldrif raised a brow “I was raised in a realm of women. I do not seek out the pleasers of a man nor do I think I’ll ever have children.” She was still single the thought of having children were far from her mind and most likely stay that way. Aldrif nodded before stepping back letting her go to do whatever she thought Sif needed. “I’ll have a room prepared for you.” she told Idunn just before the small blonde left to go find Sif.

Idunn nodded quietly. It wasn't hard to figure out what had happened between Odin and Aldrif, and, in the past, that was what happened with rulers. The son usually took what was their father's, often by force or by death. Aldrif was simply fulfilling her part of the status quo. What troubled Idunn was how she acted towards Freyja. It was cold or indifferent. But then again, why wouldn't she be that way towards her? Freyja had only raised her for a year at most. What was a year with your mother compared to 2.6 million years without her?
She wanted to talk to Aldrif more, to try and get to know her better, but perhaps this wasn't the time. Aldrif was not the little babe who would absently grab a lock of her hair and stare up at her in quiet wonder. No, she was different. This Asgard was different and Idunn would need to find her place in it since it seemed like she would be staying. "I will find a purpose here, Aldrif. Perhaps once I do... Things will be right." With a small curtsey, Idunn excused herself.Perhaps later she would find Freyja and, much later, she would find Aldrif again and convince her to not forsake her mother because of Odin's own faults. But for now, she would see to Sif.
The goddess took her time finding Sif's room, mainly due to the fact that Asgard and its palace had become so vast. There were causeways and views that brought the young goddess to a full stop, overwhelmed by all its beauty. Eventually, her wandering led her round in circles, much to her regret, and in the end, she had to ask for aid from a nearby guard. When they finally reached the room Sif was resting in, Idunn thanked the guard and waited until he was gone to knock gently upon the door. "...Sif? It... it's the short woman from the woods. Idunn. Maybe I come in?"
