"Can we not talk about what Her Majesty will do to us when, and I do mean when, she finds out about this?" Zinda didn't want to be turned into anything at all. She was perfectly fine with being human. But she had both read the old myths about Circe and seen the woman in action. Hell, she had turned Manhattan into a safari hunt for a bunch of super villainesses after Luthor had turned her down for a date or something.
Kai was right. Circe didn't show up until it was too late. By the time she had arrived, Babs was already a god. Of course, the sorceress didn't look too happy, but Zinda couldn't figure out whether it was due to them making a new god without permission or because Circe had that 'I was in the middle of an afternoon quickie' flushed look and tousled hair thing going on. Zinda guessed she could tell when a brand new god showed up on Olympus, but to her, that was a good thing. The blonde woman leaned over and hugged her friend, ecstatic that this meant she was alive. Yeah, the getup was a bit odd; she never have thought Babs to be the scantily-clad, scale mail type, but she could always change clothes.
"I'm so sorry, Babs. I didn't know all that happened to you," she told her, hugging the redhead tight. "I'll explain everything, I promise. But damn it's good to see you looking more like you than you did a few minutes ago. Well, I mean, the muscles and abs are new, but…" Zinda just shrugged. Circe, meanwhile, just looked at Kai, hoping she would be able to give her an answer as to why there was a new goddess of wisdom.

Zarda wasn't that far behind Circe she mainly came to keep her wife from killing anyone without a good reason which didn't include ruining their sexy time. But she kind of forgot about that when she saw the redhead "Holy Babs Sonja Batman!" she knew who the redhead was, even though they had never met Zinda talked about all the time. But wow she really looked different then Viper of course they both looked different than Athena had. Athena dressed like a virgin Viper dressed like an old woman and Babs dressed like Red Sonja with major underboob. Although she did like the crown thingy she was wearing that was cool.
Ah crap, of course Circe would look at her for answers and not Zinda "Viper decided to move in with Purgatori?" That was about as good as it was going to get she didn't know the full story herself so if Circe wanted that she would have to get that from Zinda and not her. She had really thought Circe wouldn't have noticed until some point after her and Zarda were done or you know ignored it until then but she was wrong.
While the three women talked Babs and Zarda were off to the side the two of them just talking about the redhead's new look. There was no flirting or anything like that they were just talking. Babs was probably the first person in a long time that Zarda had to actually look up to the other person being her father and he hadn't been here in a long time.

While her wife pulled a rather dated cliche, Circe just looked at the guilty party of gods. She knew who Barbara Gordon was more than Zarda did, at least having heard about her through reputation and talk from other villain. The once Batgirl turned crippled hacker that became a huge thorn in many people's sides. With the loss of her legs, the red haired woman had become even more powerful that what she could ever dream about. And now she was the new goddess of wisdom. "I don't care that Viper went off with Purgatori, nor that she gave up her powers. I had thought she would have left sooner, being unable to stand Logan. No, what I'm more concerned with is the ease that someone took the box containing these powers," she said, glaring at Kai, knowing it was her who had done such a thing.
"It ain't her fault, Circe. I didn't want Babs to die again. Black Adam, he came and impaled her, taking something off her," Zinda tried to explain. "Then this train from Hell showed up and they wanted her back, and I wasn't about to let that happen. I gave her ambrosia. I wanted her to live and be happy." The queen of the gods held up her hand, needing silence in order to take this all in. "Is this true?" she asked Kai. Looking over at the redhead who was currently towering over Zarda, Circe decided to join them. "Ms. Gordon, your reputation proceeds you. Zinda has talked highly of you," she said, extending her hand and looking up at the muscled woman. A part of Circe wondered what subconscious thought had made the decision for this appearance. "I do not intend to take Athena's powers from you, but you did come here under unusual circumstances. If we could discuss it all, I'd appreciate it."

Kai stared at Circe for a long time wondering if she was joking, but apparently not "I have a nasty habit of learning how to do things when no one realizes I'm paying attention. And you technically are my mother you know the woman who taught me magic....you two really weren't that different in how you did things." Most of her magical skills she learned either from her mother, Amora or her brother and sisters when they were growing up. Even if they didn't realize she was actually learning anything from them. "Melina can do it a lot better than I can which is probably why you guys can't ever figure her out really." Most of what Mel said was a lie up to a point but not everything.
"Wasn't here for the Black Adam thing, but I'm pretty sure that's not red paint dripping off that T-Post over there." Kai pointed a thumb to the post in question which was indeed dripping blood still. "But yeah the rest of it's true. I had shown up to claim her soul only to come face to face with the Conductor. Something that doesn't normally happen. But he told me she belonged in hell because she had been murdered dragged to hell and made the Rapture to give hope to those in hell. That must have been what Black Adam took from her."
Babs knew why she ended up looking the way she did up to a point the clothing was unexpected but everything else she knew why. "Your a smart woman Circe it shouldn't be that hard to figure out why I ended up looking the way I do." she said when she noticed the way the other woman looked at her "I'll answer the best I can my mind is a bit fuzzy after nearly dying again."

"So you stole from her too?" Circe asked, hand on her hip. "Just how, exactly, did she end up dealing with you and your…. magically sticky fingers exactly? Besides the choker, I mean." She wondered how many things the young Kai had gotten into or gained possession of. But then again, she was also rather proud that the girl was so good at wriggling her way through magic, so to speak. At the mention of Melina, Circe's mood dropped slightly. She was right about figure out that girl, she was quite the puzzlement. "I gave up on figuring her out not long after you left. She… she's opened up a little, but I don't think I've even scratched the surface with her." Now it seemed to be even worse, what with their parents' death.
Circe frowned as she looked at that bloody post. Zinda quickly waved a hand at it, causing soap suds to appear and scrub it clean. She didn't want Babs to see that any more than she had to. "So…. how much trouble are we in, Kai? If she belongs to Hell and we have given her Hellenic powers, will this start a war or another apocalypse?" That was something Circe was hoping to avoid, but whatever best outcome she always hoped for tended to never happen. "Can we track Black Adam through the Rapture? Find out why he took it and give it back?"
"Babs is not going back to Hell!" Zinda snapped. "I don't care if she was dragged there and made into something by the Devil himself. I'm gonna redeem her or sacrifice myself for her. They can find someone else to be the damn Rapture." Circe sighed at that before turning her attention back to Barbara. It was going to be a long next couple of days.
"Well, lets see…. working, muscular legs with thighs that could easily crush a man's skull. Imposing height and build, making everyone look up to you instead of the other way around. And all of that likely wrapped around some sort of superiority complex or psychosis that Bruce gave you. You like being in charge, you like looking like you're in charge, and you want to be able to beat the shit out of a certain clown, if you get the chance. How close am I to the right answer?" Circe asked. As for answering her other, more important questions, Circe just shook her head. "Having a fuzzy head might not be the best thing, especially when it comes to recalling memories and answering everything clearly and precisely. Re-aquaint yourself with your friend, Zinda, first. Relax, eat, and remember what it's like to be happy and have the sun shine on your face. I can look for answers myself."

"No, I just know how to undo her magic and I wasn't a mini thief." She was just a big thief a one time thing really she didn't have any plans on stealing anything else unless it was needed. "She sent me to grandma Perseis that woman terrified me when I was little." She actually clung to Hippolyta's leg for dear life whenever they went to visit them. But grandpa some how managed to get her free and taking her off to do something, usually it meant going to work with him and causing trouble.
"I'd say the best bet would be her husband or wife claiming her soul but she doesn't look married. Someone who loves her in a similar manner could also work." Love was a very, very powerful thing so much so most godly beings are powerless to it. But only if it was true love. "As old as it is that would be hard to do plus I can't even feel him anywhere." that could only mean he wasn't in this realm but someplace else where that was she had no idea.
Babs listened to what Circe listed off before speaking "Superiority complex? Do you want to be the pot or the kettle?" Circe was just as bad if not worse than her when it came to superiority complexes. If she wanted to deny it Babs was more than happy to give her a list that said otherwise. "How many times have you been human with a huge hole in your chest choking on your own blood while being fed strange food by your best friend. How well do you think you'd be able to remember anything?" she raised an eyebrow before remembering something "And no using the I was shot by Ares before giving birth to Hippolyta bit you use that for everything."

"You are becoming rather educational when it comes to having children in the future, Kaileena." Circe never had this trouble with Lyta, but then again, due to the unusual circumstances of her birth, Lyta wasn't fully attuned to her magic like most Olympian children until she was much older, but this foreknowledge would likely come in handy. As for her own mother terrifying the children, Circe just gave a wry smile. "Mother can be…. intense like that. I hope you and her did eventually get along."
Babs wasn't married, at least as far as Zinda could tell, though she knew about a couple of guys who came close in that little bit of a mindset. "Would I work? I know I'm not married to her, but I'll be damned if I don't love her. She's like a sister to me. She took me in and gave me a job and there have been countless times where we've saved each other's bacon," Zinda admitted, looking at her friend. "It's my fault she's in this mess and I want to help where I can." Listening to Zinda, Circe turned back to Kai. "I want Adam found immediately. I want this mess taken care of and I want to get to the bottom of all this. He doesn't normally behave in this manner and if he does, he's never alone."
As for Barbara? "All I'm saying is that anyone who works with Bruce long enough develops some sort of psychosis or problem. It's something that can't be helped." Regarding the redhead's second question, Circe remained quiet. She had never come up against those specific circumstances. Similar, yes, but never something exactly like that. It also didn't help that the woman called her out on being shot once. "Apologies for not sharing in something as fatal as that, Babs. I'll make sure to do that, the next time I'm mortal."
