Barbara groaned as she began to stir slowly she opened her eyes to see the sun staring back at her. She did it, she was on earth! Although she hadn't expected to be knocked out and laying in a field naked either. Well, she knew she was going to be naked kind of how it worked where she had been living for the last....crap she couldn't remember how long it had been. Time was really different from where she had been and here. Quickly she got up and started moving she didn't want anyone to see her naked, nor did she want them to see the rather strange scar that went from her chest down to her abdomen. Someone or something had craved the Rapture onto her chest and abdomen, it was big enough that it wasn't easy to hide if she wanted to wear a bikini but she didn't have plans for that. She was going to steal the clothes she had just found a few sizes too big then she was going to find an old friend and play catch up before she took off hopefully she'd get to spend time here before being dragged back.
Slipping on the jeans and dark blue long sleeve shirt Babs ran from the home before anyone could see her, she walked along the river for a while before she spotted someone she somewhat knew. What was his name? Oh right, it was James something, whatever she knew he was related to Zinda the only thing was she couldn't remember him having wings. Strange. But he most likely knew where Zinda was at and that's all that matter to her. Making her way over to him she pushed pass the group of half naked women who seemed to be throwing themselves at him and he looked like he wanted to run but thought it would be rude. "Babs! What are you doing here and what are you wearing?" He asked when he noticed the redhead "Long story can you tell me where Zinda is?" She asked before glaring at a woman who was trying to push Babs back so she could get closer to James. "I can do you one better I'll take you to her." He put an arm around her pulling her close before flying off into the sky heading back to Olympus. Zinda was more than likely still home, having just given birth a few days ago. The two landed in front of a hallway "Just follow the all their place is at the end. I'd go with you, but I have something I really need to get done." he explained before taking off leaving her no chance of saying anything more. There was something strange about Babs he didn't know what she smelt like brimstone and he couldn't really tell what it was but it kind of looked like there was smoke curling off her he could barely see it. If he was better at magic like Circe or Amora he probably could see the whole thing.
Babs watched James fly away before heading down the hallway to the end where she had been told Zinda lived stopping in front of a rather fancy looking door she knocked and waited what else could she do? A lot, but that would be rude and she wasn't going to go that far. The former pilot sure moved up in the world didn't she? A frown suddenly appeared on her face and her eyes glowed red when she really thought about what had happened to her compared to what had happened to Zinda. She snapped out of it pushing it back down, letting her eyes return to normal as if nothing had happened.

Steve and Zinda's home was not that hard to miss. As James had said, it was at the end of the path that Barbara was on, but it was noticeable due to the fact that, unlike every other godly residence on Olympus, it looked rather mundane and normal, like what you would see in a nice residential neighborhood on earth. There was even a white picket fence and a door mat that said 'welcome'. The only thing that could be considered odd was the landscaping. There was an abundance of greenery in the front yard. Not wild, as Poison Ivy would have liked, but gently maintained and allowed to grow as needed. It gave everything a lived-in and earthy feel.
The backyard furthered the idea that at least one of the people who lived here was a gardener. Fruit trees provided food and shade, roses grew up along trellises, and various flowers and shrubs dotted the green grass. Zinda was resting in a lounge chair in the shade, her swaddled infant sleeping happily beside her. She knew Steve would likely fuss, but she needed to get out of the house and have some fresh air. The labor hadn't been difficult, but damn, if their little girl wasn't already a handful. Unexpected, too. That was probably because having known James was their son from another time, Zinda had just assumed their first baby would be a boy. Clearly, they had been wrong, though neither would complain about it.
Snuggling her daughter as they both dozed, Zinda's nose twitched as she smelled something off, like rotten eggs or sulfur. Thinking that the baby needed a change, but hoping she was wrong, Zinda blinked and sat up. That was when her eyes fell upon a figure coming into the backyard. She honestly couldn't believe her eyes. "…Barbara? Skipper? You're alive?!" Letting out a small woop before remembering the sleeping babe, Zinda quietly left her seat and ran over to her friend, giving her a tight hug. "Oh honey, aren't you a sight for sore eyes? Damn, it's good to see you. I thought… I thought you were gone.. how the hell did you get up here? Can I get you anything to eat or drink?" As she asked this, a table full of various foods and drinks appeared near the couch. Zinda still preferred to do things the old fashioned way, but sometimes magic just made things faster and easier. "God, I missed you, Skipper. Sit down and take it easy. If you need a place to stay, you know you're welcome here. Steve'll be happy to see you too."

The home was rather strange when you realize where it was actually located. How odd it was and a bit rude, no one answered the door, but maybe they were in the backyard. Waiting a couple more seconds just to make sure Babs made her way around the house to the back where she found Zinda and a baby from the looks of it. Had to be Zinda's no way would she get a boob job. "Yeah....alive." she tensed up so fast when Zinda hugged her it was more alien to her than Superman. She knew it wouldn't be long before Zinda realized the clothing she was wearing was far too big for her as well as nothing Babs would actually ever wear plus she didn't have any shoes on but one good thing that came out of wearing pants too big was they covered two rather large scars on her feet. Another thing Zinda would notice about her, she looked the same as she did the last time they saw each other which was strange as Babs should be in her 40's by now.
Food? When was the last time she had ate? The last time she was on earth where she had been food was more of a torment or punishment rather than something needed. She reached out to grab an apple, but pulled her hand back so fast you thought she had been burned. But that wasn't the case when she had reached for the apple the sleeve pulled back just enough, you could see a strange roundish type of scar on her wrist but only if you were fast enough to see it. "James brought me up here when I asked where you were at." Take it easy? She couldn't take it easy she wasn't some godly being that had all the time in the world to do whatever she wanted like Zinda could. She did sit but not anywhere near Zinda and she looked like she was about to bolt any second "I can't stay just here for a short visit."

Zinda noticed Babs' oddness almost as soon as she hugged her. She knows Barbara wasn't the most touchy-feely sort of person in the world, but she had never tensed up like that when they had hugged before. Feeling the awkwardness between the two of them, Zinda let her go, pulling back with a worried look on her face. "Is everything, okay, Skipper?" she asked, giving her friend a once-over. "Whose wardrobe it you borrow? It's… it's a little big for you." Surprisingly, Zinda didn't take much notice of her friend not aging. After all, she had spent the last ten years in a place where once you hit adulthood, aging pretty much stopped unless you actually wanted a few laugh lines and grey hairs.
"You saw James?" That meant she had been on earth, since he did enjoy going down there a lot, but if she had been there, why the hell hadn't she tried to contact Zinda or anyone else? All right, so it wasn't like she could just pick up the phone and call Zinda, but they had plenty of friends down there that could get in contact with them. Combine that with the fact that, though she was staring at the food like she was hungry, Babs didn't take a single item to eat. That just wasn't like her. Wanting to test something out, Zinda concentrated and called up her friend's most favorite Asian dish; the one that was so good, Babs would give up sex as long as she could eat it every night. If she didn't jump at that, something wasn't right.
"Short visit? Babs, what the hell are you talking about? It's not like it's crowded up here. If you're worried about the baby, don't…" Zinda's words died in her mouth as she noticed how her friend was sitting. She was tense and not at all comfortable looking. Not to mention the fact that she was a good distance away. "Okay, that's it. Just what the hell is wrong, Barbara Gordon? What did I do to get treated like this? We all made it to Asgard, so it's not like I left you behind…" Zinda suddenly looked like she'd been slapped as she remembered a very important fact from when they arrived in Asgard. James had carried Barbara all the way. "Babs? Just how the hell are you able to walk? Or maybe I should be asking if you really are my friend because you've been acting strange since you got here." Maybe it was a good thing there was some space between them.

Babs didn't say a thing when asked if she was okay "From a friend." It was a lie and a bad one, but she didn't really care she was going to be moving on fairly soon. She needed to in order to keep them from finding her and taking her back. She didn't ask for this job and she certainly didn't ask for this damn necklace she had she tried to get rid of many times and it just found its way back to her. There was no way to get rid of it for good she couldn't even remember how she even ended up with it in the first place something's were a tad foggy.
Babs nodded when asked that she saw James before watching Zinda use magic again, which was a very odd thing to see her do. And there it was the one dish she claimed she could give up sex for and she didn't touch it even though she wanted to so badly just dive in and never come out again. If only things were that simple like they had been in the past, but they weren't not now and they never will be again not for her at least. Never for her so she just ignored it like the other foods. Plus, she didn't even know if she could actually eat the food yes, she can pick it up and put it in her mouth, but she didn't know if it'd taste like it should or would it taste like ash to her? She didn't know and she was scared to find out.
Babs didn't say anything, just let Zinda talk until she said nine little words that set her off "What did you do to get treated like this?" She repeated as she turned a glare on the blonde, "What did you do when I was inverted crucified to my living room wall being ripped open having my organs torn from my body my blood being used as ink to write on the walls!" at this point small burning holes appeared here and there while the skin turned gray before spreading with the holes her eyes turned a bright red slightly lighter yellow pupils appeared still glaring at Zinda she to twice her height "What did you do when I was dragged into hell?!?"

And now her friend was outright lying to her. Great, just great. Zinda knew that Babs and every other superhero she knew had their secrets, but this was just a little ridiculous. "Skipper, I love you and everything, but that is just a bunch of horseshit," she responded bluntly before looking down at her newborn, still asleep. She'd have to start watching her language. The last thing she'd want is her daughter's first words to be a four-letter one. Steve wouldn't be happy about that.
When the new food remained untouched, that was truly when Zinda began to worry. The walking thing could be explained with technology or maybe some sort of godly intervention, but why Babs would pass up her favorite dish, especially since the restaurant that made hasn't existed for ten years, made her more than a little uneasy. Which was why she casually picked her daughter up. She still had her guns after all these years, but they were locked away and hadn't been touched once since her pregnancy. Steve was still out, no clue when he'd return, and Zinda wasn't really the type to teleport instantly. As for flying? Yeah, she could do that, though she worried about her child's safety more than anything. Immortal babies probably didn't bounce.
It was the words and venom in Barbara's voice that drew Zinda's attention back to her. "Inverted… what the hell are you…" The words died in the aviatrix-turned-goddess's mouth as soon as she saw the changes begin, and she just as quickly began backpedaling for the gate, holding her now awake and crying baby close. "I didn't know, Barbara. I swear it! You know me! I'd do anything to save you and the rest of the Birds! Tell me who did this to you and I'll fix it!" This was the last thing Zinda ever expected to see or experience. One of her best friends pissed off and wanting her dead because she couldn't save her when she needed it. "I'm sorry, Barbara!" She hoped to god that her Star-spangled Man With a Plan would get here soon.

"Hell? You don't know what hell is!" she yelled not caring about the baby that wasn't her problem because she was mad. Zinda would be the first then she'll find other two, then Bruce none of them tried to save her! All of them, let her burn now it was their turn to burn for it. "I knew you once I don't know you now. You aren't the same, but that doesn't change things." her eyes narrowed when asked who it was that had done this who had killed her. "Joker!" She raised her fist before she could do anything something hit her with enough force to send her flying. Zinda had asked for help though she probably didn't want Black Adam to be the one who showed up to save her.
"Give me the Rapture, please." he held his hand out as he floated in the air waiting for its owner to hand over the artifact "It's not yours to have." Babs said as she got up holding her shoulder. Her brimstone skin could protect her from only so much and Adam hit harder then brimstone. "I asked nicely." he was angry now he didn't want to have to do this the hard way, but she left him with no other choice. Using his super speed he impaled Babs on a T-Post clothesline as she changed back, he ripped the Rapture off her "You should have let me have it." he flew off ignoring anything Zinda might have said he had what he wanted not caring if he left the woman bleeding to death on a clothesline. Though he was disappointed he had hoped it would have been harder to take the artifact. Oh well, there were others he could fight that would hopefully put up a better fight then this one had. Babs gripped the pole that was protruding from her chest before going into a coughing fit so much blood...at least this time it'll probably be a faster death then the first time she had died. Who knew you could die twice? She didn't until now.

The Joker? Ohhh, shit. Well, that absolutely explained everything behind Barbara's attitude. "Skipper, we'll find him and make him pay for this. It doesn't matter if he's dead or alive right now. I know people that can and will find him either way. I swear it!" she yelled to her friend, but she had a feeling that none of this was going to get through to her. Tortured by Hell or not, Babs had always been a stubborn person. This just seemed to bring it out more. But Zinda was determined not to run. If her death was what would make her former boss feel better, then so be it. "Fine. Kill me if it'll make you feel better. But please just don't hurt my baby girl, okay? She's innocent of my sins." With that, Zinda closed her eyes and waited, hoping Steve would understand her decision.
The strike never came. Instead, she felt the woosh of air and, opening her eyes, Zinda saw someone she hadn't expected. "Black Adam? What the hell are you doing here?" Her question went ignored and, almost as soon as he had shown up, the pointy-earred man in tights was gone, having taken what he needed and leaving Babs impaled on a clothesline. Letting out a scream of anger and disbelief, Zinda set her child down before running to her friend.
She wasn't a god of healing, but having some medical knowledge, Zinda wasn't entirely clueless. The Blackhawks always did like having a female nurse tend to their wounds rather than one of their buddies do the stitching. Unfortunately, none of them ever came in impaled on a clothesline. It was this time that the nymph attendants decided to show their scared faces. "You, get me water, clean cloths, ambrosia, and a healer if you can manage it. You, get my baby inside and keep her safe! And you, find my husband! Now!" she told three of them. Immediately they dispersed, with only one remaining to help Zinda get Babs off the pole.
Placing a hand over the wound, Zinda filled her friend with diving power, hoping it would staunch the bleeding and help her heal. She held her friend close, making sure she stayed awake by talking to her. "C'mon, Skipper, you've had worse than this. And you're too damn stubborn to die. I'm not letting you go, you hear me? You're gonna make it." The first nymph soon returned with the needed supplies and was off again to find a healer. Pressing the cloth firmly against her chest, Zinda took a piece of ambrosia and, knowing that it was a divine no-no, slipped it past Barbara's lips. "You need to eat this, Babs. It'll help you feel better, okay?" she told her, giving her another piece of the sweet food. Ambrosia was suppose to make people immortal, as well as giving them strength and other diving gifts, so healing fatal wounds wasn't entirely out of the range of options. Tears were in Zinda's eyes as she kept trying to heal her. "I'm not about to lose another member of my crew, Skipper. I've already seen enough funerals and I need you to be the godmother to my child," she told her, hoping Steve or someone would get their asses here soon.

Steve had been working in the Arena of Ares helping clean up and rebuild with a few others. Most of the other gods were either recovering from the attack or grieving that mainly being Circe and Zarda's children from another universe. He had just finished repairing one of the benches when one of the nymphs came running over yelling at him, grabbing him by the arm pulling him back towards his home. He got the hint something had happened at home and he was needed that was all he needed to know. Leaving his things behind he took off running not stopping until he returned home only thing was he didn't know where Zinda and his daughter was so he raced around inside the house until he made his way outside to the backyard when the only ones inside was a nymph and his daughter but that didn't mean Zinda was safe.
Just as Steve made his way over to Zinda Kai had shown up to claim the one who was dying in this case a redheaded woman. Those who died on Olympus was her's to claim, although she found it strange no one had died on Olympus since she had killed the gods. It got worse the redheads soul should have been hers, but it wasn't just her that was coming for this soul. She jumped out of the way just as a massive train came ripping out of the ground, it looked like a normal train except for the cow catcher, it was large and had a mouth full of sharp teeth and the number of the train? 666. Most of it was still underground, but that didn't stop the owner of the train from stepping out. Kai looked up at the man who kind of looked like a zombie that towered over both Steve and Kai by 2-3 feet.
"What in the world is that?" Steve asked, looking up at the large man, but not stopping helping Zinda with whatever she needed him for. "His name is the Conductor he drives his train all over hell all the way down to the 7th level. Normally he doesn't claim souls, but it seems they're short staffed." her pale eyes looked over to the group "And he's here for the redhead." which meant stop working on her and let him take her "She's not dead!" Steve told them glaring at the Conductor he wasn't going to let him take Zinda's friend. Kai looked at the Conductor "It doesn't matter, she escaped hell she has to go back." the large man couldn't talk, but those who were dead or a death god could understand him. "Hell doesn't like people who escape."

Steve and Kaileena arrived at the same time, filling Zinda with both hope and sadness. "She ain't dead, Kai. So back off," she told the tall woman, wrapping her arms around Barbara in a protective manner. Zinda didn't know Kai that much, but she knew the rules regarding the dead and the dying thanks to Steve's stint as the ruler of Hades. "She's still got a heartbeat and I gave her ambrosia. I'm not letting her die, so you can go on back to whatever the heck you were doing before being called here, okay?" Zinda had every intention of making sure Babs would going to recover, and no goddess of death was going to stop her, not even if she was Circe's and Zarda's kid.
When the train burst forth from the earth, Zinda's eyes widened a little, but she refused to move, not caring where that train came from, even though it was fairly obvious from the identification numbers. However, when the Conductor stepped out, the blonde woman paled a little, feeling just a tad intimidated by his size and those glowing, red eyes. Then something inside her reaffirmed its position and Zinda was back to being fearless. "Tell the Conductor that she ain't his to take. Do you hear me, big guy? She is not yours. Babs is my friend and no one is taking her anywhere she doesn't want to go. Got that?" she stated, glaring at the infernal creature. "And if you think I'm scared by the likes of you? You got another thing coming. I've faced worse." That said, Zinda raised her hand and a very familiar looking Colt pistol appeared in her grip, aimed right at the Conductor's head.
A few quiet moments passed before Zinda spoke up again, a plan slowly forming in her head. It wasn't the best idea, but they had a limited amount of options at the moment. "Babs ain't dead. I'm filling her with Greek divinity. Now, I may not be up to speed on everything, but I do know that gods don't like other religions stepping on their toes. Christian Hell can't exactly claim a greek god, not unwillingly, not without pissing off the entire pantheon. So, how I see it is you got two options; either get back on your train and go home empty-handed, or…….. take me in her place. Either way, my friend is staying here."

"You gave a mortal ambrosia?" Kaileena asked that wasn't something that was done it was for the gods and only the gods and if Circe found out this might get a lot worse. The queen of the gods wasn't going to be too happy about this the rules were there for a reason and they didn't need a mortals doing whatever they could to become immortal. With what was going it was only a matter of time before Circe and most likely Zarda show up.
The Conductor stared down at the small woman as she told him he wasn't taking the redhead back to hell where she belonged because she was her friend. That didn't really matter to him they could be lovers and he still wouldn't care he was just here to do a job and get on with his other one. "He really doesn't care if she's your friend her time here has ended, she belongs in hell and he's going to deliver her back there one way or another." Was he worried about the gun? No, he dealt with worse than a small woman with a gun.
The Conductor tilted his head slightly in thought before Kaileena spoke up again, "He says she's barely immortal, let alone a Greek god hell had already claimed her once and still holds claim over her even now. He only has one choice and that's taking her with him, but not you your still alive, still a god." Kai blinked a few times before having an idea of her own, seeing as they didn't need an all out war with hell. "Why not make her a god? There's still a few powers left looking to be filled." She wasn't sure how Circe would take this, but she wasn't here to do anything about it and Kai can get her hands on those powers that are left.

"Yeah, I gave her ambrosia. If your mom doesn't like it, she can take it up with me. She can kick me out of the god club, turn me into a pig, or do anything else she wants, but I'd still do it again. Babs is the closest thing I've ever had to a sister, so I'm not giving her up." People usually never realized how bullheaded Zinda was until push came to shove. Sometimes it was worse than arguing with a wall.
"Why?!" The immortal aviatrix had had enough. "Why does she belong in Hell?! What did she ever do to deserve such a fate?! You tell me that!" she yelled at the demon. "She's a good woman! She's done more good than bad! If we're comparing lives here, I'm the one that should probably be roasting on a spit or pushin' a boulder up a hill. Barbara Gordon is a good woman, Conductor. She doesn't deserve Hell." Looking down, Zinda held her friend, she made sure she was still breathing. "It's the fella that crippled her, tortured her mentally, emotionally, and physically, did the same to her dad, and has a list of sins that could easily lap the world and then some that you should be going after. If he's somehow still alive. Use that train to run over his ass," Zinda told the assembled group as she lowered her gun. She could easily come up with a torture for that sick clown, but hopefully they already had plans for him.
"That's what I've been planning to do, Kai. I just had to stabilize her first. Make her a god, and, like I said, if Circe doesn't like it, we can settle it later. Please, Kai? I don't want to her to go down there." Even though Tartarus wasn't hell, it still wasn't a pretty place to be. When Steve was looking after the Underworld, Zinda either stayed in the palace or the Elysian Fields. She couldn't really stand the worse places the few times she had to visit.

"She's not my mother." Kai didn't think any of her siblings would be calling this Circe mother because theirs had died, killed by some unknown monster a powerful one at that. "Circe only turned men into pigs and I'm pretty sure you aren't a man unless your not telling us something." that was one thing she didn't have to worry about.
"Because she's the Rapture her role is to give hope to those who are damned. They can move on to the afterlife free from...." Kai trailed off when she realized something "Someone took her power she no longer has the Rapture.....crap. The Rapture is gone from its host and hell it'll throw things out of balance. It doesn't matter if your good or evil, it's about keeping things in balance, she could be the Pope and it wouldn't matter how good you were if you were chosen to be the host there was no getting out of it until you had to pass it on." There was nothing more the Conductor could do he couldn't take the redhead until she found the Rapture and he had his own work to do. He returned to the train returning to hell and back to work.
"Lucky for you he can't take her back until she finds the Rapture in the meantime, maybe we can change things?" She moved Steve aside before summoning a box that held what was left of the Greek powers. Thankfully Zarda was keeping Circe busy so she probably won't notice the box was missing. "I'll take over the healing the food will take to long. You find a power for her and break it open in her hand so it'll go to her and not you."

"Sorry. Slip of the tongue," Zinda admitted. A recent childbirth meant that she was feeling protective and every young person looked like they needed a parent. She felt bad for Kai and her siblings. Steve had told her what had happened, and she honestly wondered if there was anything she could do for them. "Circe's powers aren't limited to only men, Kai. I've seen her turn women into things that are much worse."
"Get someone else to be the Rapture. Hell, Black Adam took it from her! Get him to be the host since he wanted it so badly!" Of course, she had no idea how Adam would have known Babs would have had it in the first place, but she really didn't care. But, as Zinda watched the trained descend back into the ground, she really didn't give a damn what happened to the Rapture, just so long as Babs didn't have to go back to Hell, everything else didn't matter.
"Stealing things from Circe?" Zinda asked when she saw the box, knowing exactly what it was. "Let's hope she doesn't notice it missing, otherwise she'll come looking for it." That being said, Zinda did take it from Kai and began looking through the various powers. There wasn't much to choose from, what with most of the main Olympians already taken. Or that's what Zinda had thought until there was a bright flash and Athena's orb appeared besides the others. "Um, guys? I think Viper's mortal again," she said holding up the orb. "We better give it to Babs quick before the snake changes her mind and comes looking for it." She had never really liked the woman anyways, but it did nag and confuse her as to why she'd give up her powers all of a sudden. "Steve? I got a bad feeling about this," she told her husband as she placed the orb in her friend's palm and closed her fingers around it, crushing it and releasing it's power.

"I know that. I was talking about the pig thing." As far as Kai knew Circe only did the pig thing to men and Diana at least once. At least her mother did she wasn't sure about this Circe. "What could be worse than being turned into a pig and ending up as dinner one night?" Sure, being turned into a monster was bad, but being killed and roasted on an open fire might be a tad bit worse. At least as a monster you were still alive probably.
"I won't tell if you won't." Kai said as she worked to keep the redhead alive, being a death god this wasn't an easy thing to do. But she was doing the best she could and hoped Zinda didn't put off with the godhood picking to ask questions now wasn't the time for that. "She's with Zarda she isn't going to notice until it's too late." By then Zinda should have enough time to explain everything to Circe and hope she doesn't get mad over it. "Might have finally decided to shack up with her girlfriend kind of hard for them to be together as they were." Two different gods couldn't really be together like Zinda and Steve could. Maybe Batwoman finally popped the question who knows could be the reason, but she doubted it was anything to worry about.
Kai forgot to pull away and the next thing she was seeing stars having been blinded by the godly light when it died down she was surprised by the what she saw. Yes, she expected to see the redhead taller, but the clothes...that was something totally different. For some reason the woman didn't strike her as the scantily clad type. Babs sat up confused over what had just happened "What....the...hell...happened...to...me?!?" She asked just as she looked down and saw what she was wearing. Was she in her own body because this didn't look like it or really feel like it.
