the world had gone skynet. Most folks had come down with a serious case of death. she hadn't even PLANNED to go to Asgard!
She'd shown up in costume at one of the portals and had planned to fight off any Ultrons that showed up as a distraction........ which worked at first. but after she took one of the tin cans down, they finally saw her as something worth paying attention to. and one of them promptly smacked her so hard she went flying straight through the portal.
it had hurt, but she was used to crashing into things so that didn't matter so much, what bugged her was that no one was taking her seriously. Every Asgardian she asked told her no they would not let her help fight. in polite ways most of the time but it still stung.
so now she was sulking.
Doreen refused to admit that's what she was up to, but it totally was. sitting at the very end of what was left of the Bifrost, her legs dangling off the edge and kicking against the air. it was pretty, being able to see the eternity of stars and space. and if nothing else it made her feel like her problems weren't as big as they could be. except for that one problem of Ultron, but that wasn't so much HER problem as it was everyone's. yeah that was moon sized at least and planet sized when she actually thought about it. because he was actually in charge of a planet and all.
"Ya know." Doreen said outloud. to herself, having left Monkey Joe behind for some alone time. "I never thought this could happen. But I am living in a Viking based alternative dimension to hide from a planet of killer robots and SITTING ON A RAINBOW trying to think how I can help fight the never ending army of metal monstrosities. and it's boring. I'm bored. this is boring me. Maybe..... just maybe. its the fact I'm not actually doing anything and that's why I'm bored. but I refuse to blame myself for this. instead i'll blame everyone else!" Doreen paused and heard the sound off someone approaching.
"especially YOU Adrian!" She turned and grinned at the figure. "that probably isn't your name but it was worth a shot. imagine if you HAD been an Adrian right?" she asked laughing. |

Dani wandered about Asgard she hadn’t been here too much ever since she had killed the Queen of Angels and took Heaven as her new home then killing the fake angels the so called queen had created. They still didn’t know where those things had been made or came from. She could hear how angry the Angelus was but at the moment there wasn’t anything she could do about it. She had a group working on going through everything in Heaven to find answers and that would take time. Until then she returned to Asgard to spend time with her friend Sara and her daughter Hope.
Dani made her way over to what was left of the rainbow bridge the only link to earth but it had been shattered by Aldrif to keep Ultron from ever reaching Asgard. It took her a few seconds to realize she wasn’t alone there was a strangely dressed girl there as well who suddenly called her Adrian. Dani just stood there giving her an odd look wondering what she was talking about let alone laughing at. Okay the girl seemed to be a bit of a crazy little odd ball. “I think I would ask my mother why she gave me a boy’s name.” she finally decided to speak up.

Doreen couldn't help cracking up at the woman's reply. was she being taken seriously? she LOVED it when she made a joke and people thought she was serious because it meant Doreen got to see how far she could push it. "It's a respectable name really. there was........ or maybe....." Doreen stopped and thought hard, tapping her chin with her finger tip. "I can't think of a single Adrian. not a one. that's tragic, your Mom should have called you it just so the name had a chance at truly changing the world."
at this point Doreen herself had lost track of what she was on about and was more or less just talking because every so often she started then forgot to stop. "So how you going? I think someone used a Blue shell or something because Rainbow Road is out of the game. I always did like Bowsers Castle better though. So if you wanna get to earth I think you have to go bug Lady Odin or whatever the Queens name is."
There was another lull in Doreen's motor mouth before she remembered to be polite, "I'm Squirrel Girl, hiiii!" She introduced herself, waving cheerfully.

Dani wasn’t being serious when she answered Doreen “So respectable name that you don’t know anyone with that name? My mother is far too serious to have named me Adrian.” She did the naming and not her father he didn’t get to call the shots much probably why they split when she was ten but she did get to stay with her father after that to finish school before moving to New York where her mother was at.
“As going as one can be I guess.” She raised an eyebrow at what the girl was talking about it took a moment to realize she was talking about video games. “Actually it was Aldrif who shattered the bridge to keep Ultron from ever reaching Asgard and I really don’t need to bug her to leave.” The Angelus got her off Asgard whenever she wanted to.
It seemed the girl had a habit of zoning out every now and then before she spoke up again “I’m Dani.” yeah she wasn’t going to use her full name not because she was worried about Doreen knowing it she just hated being called Danielle her mother always called her by her full name instead of Dani and she knew she hated it but did it anyways.
