Zinda looked around the house as she and Steve entered. It was quaint and homey feeling, if a bit rustic, but it was something that Zinda could get used to. But then again, she grew up in southern farm country while Steve was a Brooklyn city boy, proud and true. She wasn’t entirely sure how he would react to everything. The kitchen was a good size, as was the living area just off it. There was even a den or study area or whatever Asgardians would call it. Probably ‘trophy room’, Zinda thought. Upstairs the layout was much more basic and straight forward; two bedrooms and a good sized bathroom. Placing her bags neatly in the smaller bedroom, the blonde woman went back downstairs to check on her roommate and see how he was doing.
“I’m fine with taking the smaller bedroom, Steve. You get the master, since a captain outranks a lieutenant and all that. And about what was said in the hall, I got no plans to rush into things, okay?” she told him. “We don’t have to follow any sort of set plan or anything like that. My first priority is making sure you’re happy and healthy. Now, how about you go on up, put your things away, shower, and…” Her voice dropped off as she realized what she was doing. “I’m sorry, here I am acting like your some damn kid needing instructions.” She sat down hard on the couch with a sigh. This was probably the first time she’d had a chance to fully relax in a long while. Sure, she wasn’t a stranger to high-stress moments, but after while, you just forgot how to relax. Even sitting there, her body was still tense. She was still worried, but about what, she had no clue. Maybe all the shit that happened since Ultron was finally catching up to her. That and the possible fact that she hadn’t had a real drink in the same amount of time, that might be the reason. She sighed and looked up at Steve. “Are we gonna make it, Cap?”

Steve let Zinda wander about looking the place over while he took his time with it while he took his time looking at different things. It wasn’t his first time in Asgard but he didn’t know how to use a lot of stuff they normally used. He left the kitchen heading into the den because he had no plans on turning it into a trophy room it was a nice size not to big or small. This wasn’t a big city but he’s pretty sure he could live here it was actually pretty nice. If he ever decided to retire and start a family he would have liked to live in a place like this.
He left the den when Zinda came back downstairs to tell him that he could have the bigger bedroom because he outranked her. It probably didn’t matter anymore considering where they were now. “It’s alright Zinda.” he wasn’t upset that she was trying to tell him what to do she was just trying to help him. He sat down on the couch next to her “I think we’ll be fine it’ll take time to get use to everything but we get a second chance at life and not hiding underground constantly reminded about what happened to the world or worry that we might get killed by Ultron one day because he finally figured out where we’ve been hiding.”
“We just need time to heal then we’ll be able to move on from this horrible point in our lives. We’ll be able to do that by helping each other. And I want to help you as much as you want to help me.” he looked over at her knowing that what had happened was finally starting to catch up to her he could see it in her eyes. "If you need anything even if it's in the middle of the night don't be afraid to come to my room if you need someone to talk to or anything."

Zinda smiled a little, though it was a tired expression. She scooted closer and rested her head on his shoulder. "And here I thought you were the one who needed all the help with everything. You're all confident and sure and everything right now. What changed? Was it the change of scenery or the fact that... that you aren't alone anymore?" She laid there for a few quiet minutes, wanting to curl up closer to him, but not daring to do such a thing on the odd chance it would make him uncomfortable. Unlike the few other men in her life, Zinda wanted to do things right with Steve. If they were stuck here for the rest of her life, it was him she wanted to be stuck with. After all, they had so much in common, including a time toss and everything.
"I think, right now, I think I want to be held close by someone, Steve. I know it's a bit forward of my, but can you hold me tight and close and not let me go for a long while?" she asked, looking up at him. She felt sick, like she could either throw up or start shivering and crying and not stop. She felt antsy, like she was waiting for something to happen, she just didn't know when. Before she realised it, Zinda moved and planted her lips on Steve's and didn't want it to end. Not now, not ever. She didn't know why she was kissing him, nor did it really seem to help entirely, but at least for now she knew she wouldn't start shaking if she was this close to him.

Steve put his arm around Zinda when she laid her head on his shoulder. “Hard to try and move on when you're always surrounded by death and destruction and seeing all those people from earth shows that we aren’t nearly extinct as I had thought we were.” They were close but not as bad as he had first thought “And you make it not so lonely.” That was why he suddenly changed all those thing plus Zinda helping him and still being there for him and not leaving him when he needed her the most.
Steve pulled Zinda close to him and held her when she asked him too of course he would after everything she had done for him when she didn’t have to do anything. “It’s only fair that I help you after you had helped me.” he said just before she kissed him it surprised him for a moment before he returned the kiss. “Is there anything else you need?” he asked when they had to break apart for air.

"From what I saw of those old war reels, you seemed to move on rather easily with all that death and destruction," Zinda commented. "But I suppose that's easier to do because you got friends with you and they ain't exactly defenseless innocents, are they? Plus the enemy back then weren't indestructible robots." Not always, at lest. People forget how important psychological warfare is in any war. If you got your side dying left and right while the other side is just shrugging off bullets while they walk slowly towards you, it does affect you no matter what. Fear can easily get into your head and it's a bitch to get out.
She smiled at his little comment about her keeping him from being alone. "I'm not the type to leave anyone behind or alone, Steve," she said, cuddling close. "And thank you for being here for me too. It means a lot."
She cuddled close, thinking about the answer to his question for a few quiet moments. "It's too bad that we don't have the comforts of home. Right now, I'd put on a comfy sweater, pop some popcorn and curl up with you under a blanket, watching an old movie. But I we can't do that, can we? Not unless Asgard has a secret store of classic movies no one told us about. Think Aldrif likes Ginger Rogers or if she more of a Katharine Hepburn fan?" she asked, trying to lighten the mood a little. "I think I just need you, Steve. Nothing else is really on my radar right now." Zinda made herself comfortable against him, smiling softly.

“It was some what easier yes.” Even though he did move on he never forgot any of them from time to time it make him stop and question everything made him regret living when so many hadn’t. “It was easier knowing there was a chance to beat the enemy unlike now.” Ultron had always been hard to beat and there was always the thought they would die fighting him but they always seem to be able to beat him until now. Nothing they did could stop him and everyone was dying because of it.
“Making popcorn wouldn’t be hard and no they don’t have movies here. I think you would have to show her what a movie is before deciding on which of those actresses she would like.” That reminded him the first time Thor came to earth and he was experience things for the first time. If she was anything like her brother things were going to get broken. “You have me. I’m not going anywhere.” There wasn’t any place for him to go anyways. Everything he had and wanted was right here.

"Hey, don't worry. The fight's not over," Zinda reassured Steve. "We're still alive, so the bad guy hasn't won. And he won't win, Steve. He just won't." She wasn't sure how they would beat Ultron, but Zinda had a feeling that they would manage it somehow. They were the good guys after all, and good guys usually won things.
"Well, whenever Stark gets the technology up and running and we manage to find a selection of things to watch, I say we introduce Aldrif to the concept of 'movie night'. I think she might actually like it," she reasoned. Of course, who the hell knew when they would actually find such films, but maybe Stark had massive storage capability on his phone or other electronic devices... if he still had those with him, that is.
"You're right, I do have you." Normally, Zinda was not one to act this fast. Yes, she would often flirt with men, but actually following through with such things? She would take it all a bit slower and level-headed. But all that would be under normal circumstances. This wasn't such an occasion. Everyone had that point where their inner voice just tosses things into the air and says 'fuck it'. This was Zinda's.
She slipped onto Steve's lap, straddling him and gently pressing her body into his. The kiss was a long and deep one, building in slow, steamy ways that made the time tossed pilot wish that neither of them had clothes on between them. "I know it's not proper and right, but please Steve? I really think I need you. We'll take it as fast as you want, but please just let it happen, okay?" she asked, not really looking at him, almost embarrassed to hear the answer.

“Yeah…” Steve didn’t really believe that yes they were alive and safe but Ultron had the earth their home. He destroyed everything and took what was left. Where they were now didn’t really have what would be needed to stop him or even build what was needed.
“If Aldrif lets him do that that is. She might not want him messing around Asgard we don’t really know. Could be it did actually work on the Hulk as long as we had corn chips.” And his own couch it was hard watching movies when the end you're on is in the air and slanted ready to slid down to him.
Steve was surprised when Zinda straddled his lap and the kiss no one had ever kissed him like that. Well Private Lorraine’s was kind of like that but he never had feelings for her. “Um...I...well...uh...never actually…” his face turning red with embarrassment for being a ninety year old virgin. He just never found another woman like Peggy since waking up until maybe now.

"I'm sure Stark will convince her somehow. Hell, he's probably sold ice to the eskimos, along with god only knows what," she joked. "Right, we'll make sure to have plenty of corn chips or whatever it is Aldrif lieks so she won't complain about plotholes and bad acting."
Zinda stopped the kissing upon hearing the sounds Steve was making. It certainly wasn’t the normal thing you’d hear accompanied with kissing, particularly the words 'never actually'. Opening her eyes, she saw how uncomfortable and redfaced he looked and all the passion she had drained out of her, replaced by embarrassment. “Aw hell,” she said softly. She recognized the look on his face and the little anecdote James told her about Tony Stark’s wedding present came roaring back into her memory. Honestly, she had thought it was mainly a joke about how little sex the man had had in his life, not that he was actually a virgin. “Steve, I’m sorry. I should of put two and two together. Dammit, you probably think I’m a one-trick floozy or something,” she said, scrambling off his lap. No, Zinda wasn’t a virgin. She knew for a fact that she and Bart Hawk had been intimate once or twice. Now, whether that intimacy carried over to Killer Shark when she was brainwashed, she couldn’t rightly say, nor did she want to think about it, as it always made her skin crawl with an uneasy dread if she did.
“I thought that since you and Peggy… and then you and Sharon…” She stopped while she was ahead. Getting up from the couch, Zinda walked around the room a little, hoping it would distract her a little. Naturally it didn’t, it only made things worse. “I’m sorry Steve, I should of asked first. I’ll, um…. I can go if you want.” Where to, she didn’t know, but if he wanted her gone, she’d leave.

“Knowing him he probably sold them Stark phones along with that ice.” Of course he would have to be the first person to sell phones that far north. “If she likes them she might be more of a popcorn person. Who knows?” he said trying to think of the things the redheaded woman might like. “I don’t think you're a one-trick floozy.” he told her if Steve had thought that it wouldn’t had gotten that far. He sighed maybe he shouldn’t have said anything? But then again she’d probably find out sooner or later. It’d come out into the open at some point that he was still a virgin. He let her get off his lap and was already missing her being so close to him.
“No we uh well I came close but Fury would call and ruin the whole thing and now that I think about it he probably did that on purpose.” He never actually got a chance with Peggy but with Sharon when they got started the phone just oh so happen to ring and it had to be something that needed to be done right away. Steve finally got up off the couch walked over to Zinda wrapped his arms around her “I don’t want you to leave and it’s not a big deal I mean I have to lose it at some point that is if you don’t mind being my first?” he asked looking at her.

Okay, Zinda had to laugh at Fury cockblocking everyone at the worst possible moments. From what she knew of the man, it sounded very much like him. "Well, they do call Fury's operation S.H.I.E.L.D. for a reason. It's not like they could have used C.O.N.D.O.M. instead," she smirked. This was a good sign, she thought. They were both making jokes and relaxing again. Even if this was a trainwreck, they'd probably look back at this an laugh later on. Maybe. Hopefully. Or they would never talk about this moment again.
Zinda looked back at Steve. "I don't mind that I'm your first, Steve. I just wish you would have told me outright. I'm not the kind of girl that would laugh at you being a virgin. You know that. Hell, I like a guy more if he doesn't brag about how many girls he's slept with. You're a nice change. I wish more men were like you," she admitted. "We'll take this as slow or as fast as you like, but I, and this may be sounding rather forward of me, but I do hope all this leads somewhere tonight." As she talked, the blonde woman came around the back of the couch and draped her arms around Steve's neck, kissing his cheek and neck. "I do like you Steve, and I sure as hell think I want to spend the rest of my life with you." She moved once more, ending up back in his lap, this time not straddling but sitting demurely.
"Captains outrank lieutenants in the Air Force, so I'll let you take command and lead the attack.... sir. I'll make sure to follow your lead." Yeah, she was being a little mean, but hey, both army life and the air force wasn't for wimps. It was sink or swim time for Steve.
